I think its muscles in the neck. Knots and tension. Try exercising the neck, massage and acu ball.
Yes like my nerves are being ripped from my spinal cord... this is when I've overdone it.. in a flare up .. it does settle eventually with rest, heat, sleep, gentle exercise and relaxation x
