Oxford vaccination

Morning all, just thought I would comment on the oxford vaccine side affects. I had it and ,yes was a bit poorly for 2 days, headache, fever etc ,but with a bit of rest and paracetamol I was fine on the third day. But I had and still have ( a red sore arm) and it's about 3 inches across. This is 10 days in, but spoke to gp to be on the safe side and she assures me it's ok and will fade in a few days, and nothing to be worried about. Apparently it shows that the vaccine is working. I googled "covid arm" and found that others have this too, so very reassuring. So, just wanted to let others know that if it happens to you, don't panic! (Like I did) 🙄🙄😱. X

Hi

I've had this Covid arm too, mine is fading now

Also - if you still have it, my GP suggested to take antihistamines for a week

Glad you are ok now. I had similar symptoms after the vaccine last week. I was lucky as only lasted just over 24hrs. Sore heavy feeling in arm a little longer but all normal and expected. I read that it shows your body is doing what it's supposed to do so is a good sign. Take care, stay safe x

I had the Oxford one at the start of February. Was unwell for 6 days but again it shows the vaccine is doing its job. I had increased muscle aching and pain. Sleepy in the day. My arm was sore for a week but not red. You can also use an ice pack wrapped up in a towel to help with pain and swelling at the injection site that's what the nurse that did mine suggested. Xx
