I get painful eyes when I take one of my bad headaches - but would suggest mentioning to your gp if it continues. Not specifically a fibro symptom I've heard of, and unsure about it being a med side effect. Your local pharmacist might be able to answer if it's a known side effect of any of your meds
Hi.. I've been on these medications and the side effect I used to get was dry eyes, they would be so dry I had to pinch my eye lids as it got difficult to blink.
I found amitriptyline was the worst medication that's caused the problem and I stopped taking them after a few months, I do get eye drops from my gp to use but I don't think it does much.
Hopefully it will settle for you and unfortunately with fibromyalgia it does effect the eyes I've been told??
I just found I had dry sore eyes on amitriptyline, and use eye drops to remedy that. I’ve never taken pregabalin so I can’t help with that part of your question I’m afraid. Have you checked the possible side effects in the medicine leaflets? Otherwise ask your GP for advice.
Apart from 8 side effects later on, amitriptyline gave me a splitting headache in the eye region, which was because 10mg was too much for starters. Later I could go up from 2mg-drops to 26mg drops/25mg pill without this. If it's not gone yet I'd suggesting reducing the dosage first. Amitriptyline also makes your vision blurred, could be one or both of these two things....
Denford ,I know pregabelin makes your mouth dry and more tired, I haven't experience achy eyes, that could be one of the side effects. Its best to go back to your GP.
