Does anyone have a trained service dog

Hi everyone, I have fibromyalgia and slipped discs in my lower back. I’m on meds. But I’m really looking into service dogs and how it could help me. My landlord said no but I know under the disability law 2010 I could have one as it’s within reasonable adjustments! However the UK is so limited in this area. Does anyone have one or any advice??

I don't have a formally trained dog, but one of mine will open the back door, empty the washing machine and tumble dryer for me, pull my socks off and pass me items when I ask. It's just basic obedience training really. Our dog club do fund raising occasionally for Canine Partners so it might be worth talking to them. Many of the retriever breeds, not just Labradors and Goldens are ideal service dogs as they just love a job to do and are relatively easy to train.

Thanks, canine partners are closed to new applicants but I’m looking into training up a dog as long as my landlord understands what the law says! So good that your dog is so helpful and happy to help 😊
