Dead leg feeling with fibro!

Hi all... I was diagnosed with fibro in 2012 at the age of 32.... I was poorly for around 3 years then seems to go into remission. I went back to work (nursing) 2 years ago but the last 18 months have been a roller coaster.... I have been on long term sick leave since March 2019 after having a shock diagnosis of a rare blood cancer. But my question is has anyone suffered from the feeling of dead thighs with fibro... like the feeling when you have really over worked your legs and wake up the next morning and they really hurt? Mine are like that constantly and I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this with fibro.... I also have osteoarthritis which has really flared up and seems to be spreading quite quickly to lots of joints, my urgent rheumatologist appointment isn’t until 6th October 😩 Thank you 😊

Hi there nice to meet you and welcome you to our group :) I do have that feeling in my thighs. But for me I believe its caused mostly from the OA in my lower back. At times it can feel like I have tight bands around the tops of my legs. I also think the less I move the worse the pain is. The saying use it or lose it springs to mind. I know sitting or laying too long just tightens up my muscles and the pain is bad. So I do try and move every hour or so. If it's only to hobble round our tiny bungalow. I can completely empathise with you 🤗

HI Dazakella , I too suffer with my legs going dead if i sit for to long .

I had nerve conduction studies done on my feet ,

which was fine but when he stuck a needle in my leg/ thigh over an inch long into it . i didn't even feel it .

My fibro has gradually been getting worse over the years ,

so I have come to the conclusion , to take each day one at a time.

Sorry to hear that you have also got blood cancer ,

it cant be easy for you .

I am curious as to what your blood cancer is as I have something else considered blood cancer. It has many different degrees. The name is

Milo something Have had three phlebotomies to get rid of thick Blood but I’m really wondering if that’s what you have. I’ve tried many different forms and nobody seems to have it
