So after having more blood tests at the beginning of the week I've now found out I am low on iron.
From what I can gather, it doesn't help with my itching, I am on fexofenaldine, so managed to get a couple nights rest, but quess what, last night it came back with revenge.
I only just got my head down when it started again. But hopefully now they have found I'm low on iron I can get some piece.
My eye test is due this afternoon. I all ready know I'm as blind a a bat.
My question is where does all the money come from to be able to have new glasses, earing aids etc etc.
I've not heard anything from pip, do I call them?

hearing aids are free on the NHS and as for specs and although I have a prescription pair I tend to use my Pound shop specials as I am so clumsy. 5 pairs for £5 and so I can afford to leave a pair in the car and in various rooms!
PIP will contact you when they have something to tell you. My decision took 10 weeks but it depends where in the country you are.
Oh wow. So that is why i have been so so itchy for months?! I used to scratch so bad that i was always covered in cuts and scrapes on my arms. It looked bloody awful (pardon the pun). I too have been found to be low in iron and i am now on iron tablets. I am feeling a little livlier in myself and my itching has stopped. Thanks for writing this post.
It has given me that lightbulb moment of recognition of the signs of being low in iron and its not just lethargy, sluggishness and tiredness but also the worst itchiness!
