I’m very neurotic about seeing a doctor

After being very physically active I’m now in a position where I can barely walk. I can relate to most symptoms of fibromyalgia but sometimes I feel I just need a name to all my symptoms. I know the obvious answer s go for a diagnosis

going to see a GP is important and getting the correct diagnosis moreso. If it happens to be polymyalgia for example then it could be similar symptoms but some steroids and you will be feeling much much better very quickly.

Thank you how is it diagnosed?

to test for fibro, blood tests and patient history are taken to rule other conditions out.

It can take quite a long time to diagnose,as they have to exclude other possible diagnoses first, as Fibro has a lot of symptoms in common with other conditions
