taking meds together

does anyone take both sertraline and amitriptyline together.

Hi there I believe these are both antidepressants. This combination may increase the effects of amitriptyline in your body. If it was me I would be checking with the GP to make sure they were aware I was prescribed both and maybe ask why x

I did at one stage but now on venaflaxine and mirtazepine for insomnia. Have to be careful as I had funny turns when on lots of meds few years ago. Consultant called it CNS crisis, nervous system goes bit mad. Felt awful for months. Never just stop them though always wean down gradually.
