Chronic neck pain

Anyone else suffer from chronic neck pain,which radiates down my spine,tried dhcp and ibropruphen, noting touches the pain,this also leads to pain in anus which is a bit of a weird situation.

Yes, I have chronic neck pain, although my pain tends to bring on headaches rather than travel down my spine.

Have you had your neck pain checked out in case there is something causing it? I had an MRI to check mine, but came back clear so got put down to being a fibromyalgia pain.

I have chronic neck pain due to arthritis in c spine. I went to a chiropractor a few times which helped a little when I was first in pain. Now 10 years on nothing helps. I use heated wheat bags.

My pain travels down my arm.

You should push for an xray to find out if there's a problem in your spine. But at the moment that probably won't happen

I have same plus pins needles in left arm get them see if do ct scan and mri mine caused by spondylitis damage wear N Tate in 5,6,7 vertebrae I’m on morphine gabapentin codine parocetomal Also been diagnosed with fibromyalgia Hop you get sorted soon

I started with this pain over a week ago, it travels from my coxy area up and down to my neck, it hurts turning my head , sitting, standing, lying down 😭😭😭😭

For coxy (like your short version) problems, I find it’s best to sit on 2 medical strength memory foam cushions if on a hard chair or one if on the sofa or similar. Otherwise I don’t sit down as too painful then and afterwards. I buy the Tempur ones, they come up every so often on eBay

I’m really struggling with pain and sitting down think I need to get one or two of those .I bought the round ones with ey are quite good but now got big muscle in bottom is so painful I can’t sit .Thanks for that idea Tempura ,I sleep on a really good memory foam which is great.😘❤️

The are called/ described as : Tempur Seat Cushion, they have a dark Blue cover that can be taken off for washing and same material " handle" for carrying around. They are expensive if bought direct from TEMPUR but come up on ebay from time to time. the ones with Red covers are very old ones, best avoided if you come across those on ebay. Sometimes wheelchair chair size ones come up on ebay & I use those in the car.

Whiplash? This can happen from a fall, even just tripping over, as well as a car accident. Damage to the fascia in one part of the body will effect all areas of the body. We also tend to carry tension in our shoulders and neck.

I would often find that clients would say that they have never had an accident to cause whiplash even though their body is responding to whiplash unwinding; then you find that they fell off their bicycle or tripped over a kerb - this produces whiplash. It does not matter if the fall was 40 years ago, it will still have an effect now. Your body remembers every injury until that injury and associated trauma is treated.

Thanks penny,I've always had tension build up in shoulders and neck,also was diagnosed with reactive athritis 30yrs ago,the physio I used to see said I was riddled with athritis all over body but dods weren't keen for xrays

Many years ago I was suicidal with pain in my neck and shoulders ,went to physio they made it worse .In the end I went to osteopath it took 6 months, but she got me right sometimes I went every week mostly 1 a month between times I have a tens hospital grade machine ,it’s trial and error with it and if you get one and it’s in the wrong place it will hurt ,if it’s the right place it stops the neck pain and feels just like muscle is moving ,build up on the dial Dont go highest first .Hope that helps you .😘❤️
