Terrible Lower Rib Pain

I am having unbearable rib pain. I'm hoping when I get back to see my Rheumatologist he will give me a steroid injection. Any advice on pain relief until they open the departament again?

Have you tried applying heat? A hot water bottle or a heat pad etc. Alternatively if the heat doesn't work then you could try a cold back. Different things work for different people. If you are able to take anti-inflammatory medication it may help (please check with your pharmacy if you are on any other medication).

Have you tried biofreeze? If you haven't and you're interested in buying some, Amazon is the best place.

UK doctors don't have it in their formulary.
