I have it in my legs, feet, arms and hands. My GP has changed my medication from pregabalin to gaberpentin. I do think it is having a positive affect on this pain. I still have it but not as badly! Xxx

Yes it very well could be. You can also google Restless Legs Syndrome. It is very annoying, I know, as am a sufferer too! Hope you are ok!

Make sure you get checked for other things as there are many diseases that cause tingling as well, like referred pain from a disc injury pinching a nerve, neuropathic pain caused by high blood sugar, etc. The tingling is not fun for me - wakes me up at night. Mine comes from not only fibro, but also a disc injury in my lower back which travels down my legs. It’s all too confusing sometimes!

I also have restless leg syndrome, and had it in my arms several times, way before the fibro actually kicked in. I also had , only what I can describe as facial issues, where , luckily a friend called in , pure coincidence, and immediately had my GP called to my home. She wouldnt allow me to look in the mirror, but I could see the fear and worry on her face. Almost akin to tourette's, where involuntary my tongue would poke out of my mouth and way down , a little further than my chin. The muscles were contracting around all my face and pulled my lips sooo far apart that my lips suffered splitting and bled... my stomach was also twisting and my legs and arms would involuntary las out. I felt almost as if I were possessed, my friend told me later , that was exactly how I DID look.

My GP, came and was totally bewildered and you could tell by the shock on her face that she had never seen anything like it before, but said she had heard one or two colleagues had.

I was given 30ml diazepam and have been on them ever since. I haven't experienced that kind of torture again too, thankfully.

But I notice that when my legs are restless, it's usually due to fatigue, and the only way to stop them 'jumping' is to keep walking...hard to do when you're so exhausted, but if you have a good GP or rheumatologist or psychiatrist then you should be given diazepam to help you. Herbal remedies such as Nightol , on the other hand are akin to throwing fuel onto fire and I cannot and will never touch them with a barge pole...

I'm curious if anyone else has endured the facial spasms, as I was told is a cross between restless leg syndrome and tourette's...

My goodness, I've written a novel, and understand if none of you have patience to read it through.

Non verbal diarrhoea now over. Apologies everyone 🥺
