Oh no, feeling low is rubbish. When I get like that I try to remind myself it'll pass and just ride it out. I try listen to music, take a bath, watch something lighthearted, waste time on my phone....anything for a distraction really. Take care xx

Thank you so much. It's helped just saying it out xx

Yes, I find that too. I think this forum is great as I'd often suffer in silence before xx

My favourite thing to do when I’m low is listen to music! I listen to a wide variety but I really take in the lyrics and the meaning behind the song. I have a song for every emotion or situation! 😂 I find it really helps! If I’m sad, i put on a sad song, sing a long and cry it out! That usually takes the edge off, then I put an upbeat song and bop a long if I’m feeling able 😑 But I also find like you, just saying you feel low out loud can make a difference! I hope your feeling a little better today xx

I try to think about all the good things I have like my OH, furbabies, look through old photos and relive memries. It's not easy. I am having a flare up now and am sick of being asked if I am better.

I sometimes binge watch a box set or get lost in a good book.

Sending gentle hugs

X

Hello, try and think of the last thing that made you chuckle. Remember how it felt. Then remind yourself that you will feel that again, you just need to find the next thing that will make you chuckle. Maybe a film, or something o YouTube that you find hilarious. Silly people or animals. Or do something you may never have thought of doing before, for example find a neighbour with a bee hive and watch the bees working away. Try and spot where small birds are nesting. Put at least 10 photographs I an album with labels of who, what, where and when. Best of all get a gentle hug. 😹😻

Feeling better today

Thank you xx🤗

I go with distraction. Games on my phone, Pinterest, YouTube, loads of free box sets on More 4. Sometimes I can engaged in a book.

It will pass, it’s just cr** when you’re feeling low but it will get better.

Hi it's a horrible feeling and if you are in pain you don't know what to do with yourself sometimes. I end up crying and have found that I feel better when I do let it out and like others I go do something or watch tv or phone family or friends and you can end up laughing about something which then does your heart good. I have a friend who lost her husband when she was in her 40's and as I am in the same situation now and still finding it hard she made me laugh by telling me that Terry Wogan saved her life really lol!.. She was left on her own also as her family were married like my own, and she said she had a radio going in every room and started listening to Terry every day or plays and things on the radio. I have never been a radio listener or much of a reader,my husband loved books, but I have other wee bits of hobbies to try keep my mind occupied or just like a film or something to watch . We all have our moments and I know we don't know who we are chatting with on this website ,but others on here have given me good help and advice and just listened to my moans and groans some facing worse struggles than my own and that has bucked me up. My husband who had leukaemia and renal cancer always said to me "there is always someone worse off than yourself" and it is so true! Hope tomorrow is brighter for you God less x
