Hi 1981Jules , and a very warm welcome to this lovely, friendly forum.

The best advice I can give you is to listen to your own body. If you need to rest, then rest. On a better day try not to overdo things. You will read lots about pacing, that's the best thing that you can do. If doing housework for example, do a little - say 20 minutes, then rest for 10 or 15 minutes and so on. xx

healthunlocked.com/fibromya..., Morning and welcome a good reply from Moal61 , yes the pacing method is very good advice something I try and carry most days if I can. Do you work ?? as that can be harder to juggle your day to day. Most evenings I have an Epsom salts bath if you can have a soak magnesium is supposed to help .For my aches I use a bio freeze gel to rub on and also I’ve used deep heat on alternative days like on my knees. back etc, mite be temporary relief but find that helps especially if I have to go out for something and doing short walk or short journey driving. I use heated wheat bag or my hot water bottle on certain areas when resting at night. Some people have used the tens machine I read. I’ve posted a link which explains If you want to lock your posts.

Hi Jules, I'm so sorry you are feeling bad. I'm new too. The way i cope is by pacing myself and enjoying a good day when i get it by making really good use if it. When i'm well enough i take some ginko biloba an hour or so before i leave . I started with about 30 gms , now i take about 150 gms. Then i can go out for about four hours . It also helps with brain fog. Today is a bad day, i had ibs too , took buscopan for that and cbd oil to take the edge off the stomach pain and headache . My back and shoulders have been painful for a few days , my heated pad helps with that. The gentle pressure in the small of my back is helpful.

I'm a committed christian , my faith helps a lot. I hope that something there helps . K

Welcome to this amazing group of fighters! Mine has been up and down like crazy the last few weeks. For me over in Dorset maybe it’s the colder weather. As others have said you’ve really got to listen to your own body, easier said and done at times admittedly as we are all over the place, however pace is key, rest when needed and when feeling better do little as take care. For me when I’m worse I feel hot long baths help a lot but does not help for all. Ohhh and blueberries! No I’m not crazy I just find they work well and healthy so can’t hurt either way. It’s all about healthy food and relaxation,, and medication from the doctors plus a load of vitamins and CBD tablets I take all help improve me a little more. So must trial and error to come as I find what to eat and what not too. Keep on fighting! You are stronger then you know!
