Ohh how id love to do this again, 20+years of riding, but with suffering with fibro, the vibrations from the engine would now cause me alot of issues, i'd advise not getting a racing style bike, a custom cruiser would be better, and all the safety gear, especially a good helmet, best of luck with the cbt, and enjoy the freedom

Thank you for your reply. I am looking at a Honda Cbf 125, and just keep doing my Cbt every two years. I will only ride what my body is happy with "hopefully" lol

when doing the cbt, remember its confidence/ awareness on a bike they look for, the cbf 125 would be a great little run around bike, and perfect for getting road confidence, i loved my gsxr 1300 ( speed freak 😀 🏍 )

Hi Mazz2010,

I just passed by full bike test in June of this year after riding a bike was a life long ambition of mine. This was before I had been diagnosed with Fibro but had suffered pain for years. took about 7 years to get a diagnosis. I found my bike lessons and test hard due to the vibration but determination got me through it. I explained the pain to both my instructors and examiner and they were very understanding and gave me plenty of breaks. I suffered agony for over a week after passing my direct access but it was so worth it. The 125 is the worst for vibration and I found the 650 a bit easier. The bigger the bike the less vibration.

Good luck and go with your dreams :) x x

Get a 125 short term. You may find the clutch a bit of a pain. The vibration is also an issue. I would suggest an automatic bike like a honda NC750. Lovely to ride with little vibration and no clutch lever to bother you. I have a honda VFR1200 which I find heavy on my clutch hand lately. I am thinking of getting the auto version. Good luck.
