A few weeks ago I went for my pain injections but had a new pain specialist, who decided whilst doing my procedure, to do a pain block where my spine meets my pelvis.
I do normally have ten injections from my neck to the base of my spine but not this. He put three pins in, then die , then pumped stuff in. The pain was unbelievable and my leg started jumping on the bed. I was not sedated or had it discussed with me by my usual doctor at my consultation two months ago.
Just after I was suffering terrible migraines and had a high temperature. My face was red on one side and the tops of my arms were bright red. I’ve felt ill ever since and when my husband spoke to my usual doctor about my symptoms, the doctor thought I’d had a massive reaction to the drugs and promised that I wouldn’t see that doctor again.
My back has been very painful and I’ve had no benefit I’m in two minds whether to see my GP or ring my pain consultant?
Has anyone else had this reaction?
I know these injections, particularly in that area, are painful as I’ve been having them for six years but they’re not normally this painful. This was traumatic!
