lots of symptoms but this one is baffling me.

feeling breathless and nausea with light headedness thrown in.

Had e.c.g which was clear.

blood test for heart failure clear.

chest xray clear.

are these symptoms part of fibromyalgia?

Hello annie1949

Welcome to the forum :)

If you have a look at our mother site you will find a list of the most common symptoms of Fibromyalgia fmauk.org

In my own opinion I would not have said that breathlessness on its own would be a sign of Fibromyalgia.

However I am not a medical professional.

Do you have any other signs or symptoms? If not, I would say that it could possibly be a sign of a completely different illness.

Do you take any medication at all? Sometimes certain medications can have a side effect of breathlessness.

What does your GP seem to think that it could be?

Wishing you good luck in finding out what is causing your symptoms.

Hello and welcome to our friendly fibro forum where you can get help, advice, understanding and support.

I would not ordinarily say they were part of fibro, but then again I am not medically qualified. What has your doctor advised?

Is your peak flow rate being measured? Are you under a specialist?

Do you think you may be having an allergic reaction, bearing in mind the hayfever season has started?

I am sorry I can't be more help, it does sounds as though your symptoms need to be looked at again.

Looking forward to seeing you around the forum

Kay

Annie- I found myself in this dilemma a couple of days ago, all I did was weed my small garden, the bending over caused me to be dizzy and I sat down- big mistake as I cant get back up fro the floor! I felt quite sick and my breathing became erratic, all a bit of stress I think from the incident and embarrassed having to ask a passer by to help me up! I,ve had to resort to liquidised food because I have a massive haitus hernia and so my eating times are scanty as it take ages for one meal to get thru to my stomach and digest, I felt like hunder pangs and a sugar rush even though I had "eaten" but the "food" was in my gullet and not yet down in my stomach.. Does this sound familiar hun?

Hin thanks for your reply. Sorry I never put all my symptoms down. I have a number of symptoms that I have had for a lot of years.

chronic pain throughout my body. Sometimes sharp and spasmodic sometimes one long ....... ache. Most of all sensitive to any touch.

IBS

Reflux

Headaches

Pins and needles

Sometimes I think it easier to say what I don't have.LOL

I also developed breathlessness and dizziness but also palpitations. This was one of the things that led to me being diagnosed with ME/CFS as well as the Fibromyalgia (after a 24 hour ecg monitor.)

Hi Annie 1949

Welcome to the forum the information given by blue mermaid would have been the same that I would have given you. Blue|Mermaid3 has really helped me and after getting the advice and searching the sight I found a lot of information so I totally agree with what is being said. I too get very breathless but on speaking to GP he has told me it is my asthma and copd that causes it. Do you have any other illnesses that might give you that symptom if not and you look on homepage I would go back to your GP Good luck on your journey we are her for support and share your experiences plenty of people to support you and help in getting through all the daily symptoms :)

I have excercise enduced asthma but even little things can make me a little breathless sometimes. Maybe you should see if something else is going on ontop of your Fibromyalgia.

Hi annie1949

I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. I have to agree with BlueMermaid3 as breathlessness on its own is not really a symptom of Fibro.

There could be underline causes such as medication or another condition like asthma etc? I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck and please take care of yourself my friend.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken

Annie I agree with everyone, I keep a close eye on my blood pressure these days as that can cause dizzy and light headed spells if it goes up or very low, as I said my eating habits need some input as |I don't have regular meal times now, going out for ameal is a No No unless they will put it thru a liquidisor, I get breathless when I force myself to do something that is really out of my league, like putting together a self assembly dining table!!
