A follow up from my previous message. I saw the consultant on Wednesday and was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, thank goodness I have been given a diagnosis at last, it was getting to the point that my own doctor was impatient with me and my husband never realised just how poorly I felt.
Can anybody update me with possible care pathway and treatment from now please, feeling very unwell at this moment in time. I also look forward to making friends on here and supporting others.

I bet you are relieved at last to have a diagnosis. Hopefully now you will start getting the right meds. Have a look at our mother site Fibromyalgia Action UK as there is a wealth of information on there about need, alternative treatments etc and pacing. If we can help with anything specific do ask. Hope you enjoy the forum look forward to your future posts.x
I am truly delighted that you have finally achieved a diagnosis but so genuinely sorry that it is Fibro. I have pasted you a couple of links below. The first is to the NHS Choices cache on Fibro treatments, and the other to the FMA UK mother site. So I sincerely hope that you find these useful:
I would personally talk to your doctor about what medication they feel are suitable for you and what referrals they are willing to afford you such as physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, CBT etc.
I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck, and please take care of yourself my friend.
