Is this the first time you have taken it? I always take mine with some food if I possibly can as for some people they can be a bit harsh on an empty stomach.x

I a gually find onions even though I love them always give me an acute stomach pain, I can just about tolerate them cooked but if they are raw as you like have them in your our roll I would be doubled over. As Arymretep days if you are getting worried I would ring for advice. These things always seem to happen at weekends and bank holidays. Hope you will be feeling better soon.x

I get allergic reaction to co-codamol but not stomach pains - cold all over and intense itching all over - not sure what would happen after that as fortunately I recognised it for what it was and took anti-histamine which stopped the reaction dead.

Where is the pain? Lower abdomen, upper abdomen, left, right or central. Could be all sorts of things - if it's lower abdomen on the right for example it could be appendix. More central it could be wind pains. If the pain doesn't ease soon or you get other symptoms such as vomiting ring the NHS helpline regardless of it being a BH.

Hi

I cannot take opiates at all as they give me tummy ache, sweats, sickness, etc. You too might be reacting to them. The more I took the worse it became, so try to judge how you feel.

Good luck and best wishes.

Hi Deadpoet2403

Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. I am so genuinely sorry to read this, and I would discuss alternative pain medication with your doctor to try and avoid this happening again, please take care of yourself.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken

Hi deadpoet,

I've always tolerated cocodamol well but in the last few months, all 3 times I've taken it, it's given me tummy pains too. I told the GP and just take the odd tramadol now when the pain is severe and I don't have any problems with that. It's frustrating when your pain relief then causes more pain!

Co-codamol can leave you badly constipated. I would suggest that perhaps this is the cause of the pain and perhaps some type of laxative or a lot of prunes may be helpful. My mother has been prescribed this as it is a known side effect.

I see this was a couple years ago but had to see if your still on here

I too just had the worst stomachs pains this morning and only had 2 doses yesterday it’s definelty the co-codamol

30/500 I was prescribed

Never felt pain like it all over my stomachs and sides

Nearly took myself to A&E eventually went to the toilet and had some weird loose stools for around an hour and half and have felt weak rest of day

Never take them again - even called doctor who said oh I think it’s viral tummy flu you have no chance only lasted hour and a half and since I have got rid of it out my system my tummy has been fine

This was my first time using co-codamol

And took after food

Anyone ever feels the same way would tell your doctor and stop using I’m glad it was only 2 doses I had yesterday god knows if I had followed the instructions of every 4 hours

Felt like my kidneys were going to burst this morning with bit of fever and sweats

Never again
