Hi Marydoll, unfortunately yes this is very normal. This is why we try and do something called pacing where you try and intersperse times of activity with rest periods so as not to over tire yourself. If you are doing too much your body will just shut down and leave you exhausted. Learning how much activity you can tolerate and planning things accordingly will help but is not always easy. Sadly some things have to be sacrificed so you can do others. It is one of the most difficult challenges to come to terms with (outside of the pain) the acceptance that your life will never quite be the same again, but it is worth doing so that you can move forward and focus on finding ways to do the really important stuff; personally I love the fact that I don't have to beat myself up about not doing housework if I don't feel up to it, I never enjoyed it anyway.

Good luck and I hope you manage to find coping mechanisms so you can find some joy in life. Gentle hugs, Steph

Acceptance of this FMS disease is not easy, and you have to take time out more often than normal just to cope. x

Welcome to fibro!! Yes it is very normal for us. Both from chronic fatigue and pan. It will take a while to get used to it. But you will learn to deal with it 🐸

Hi

I'm sorry that you're a fellow sufferer.

I am afraid Yes, is the answer to your question.

Fibro has many symptoms, not everyone suffers the same or reacts the same to meds.

The thing is not to give up, work with your dr, try different meds until you find what works for you.

One thing that seems universal, is a constant pain in certain areas, with phases of extreme pain and sometimes new pains.

I was told by my dr, not to try to fight it, as one would any other illness, as it makes it worse. We must try to pace ourselves, try to rest often and learn our limitations.

Hopefully some bright spark will find a cure soon 👍😊

I do hope that you have a better day tomorrow and don't feel too overwhelmed.

Best wishes.

Yes unfortunately. Do try and pace yourself as much as you can as if you try and push through it you will only make yourself worse as I did. If I want to do a job I now actually put a timer on and stop when it rings it is a good way of stopping you overdoing things.

When we are fatigued we also tend not to prepare proper meals so make sure you have some quick standbys so you don't miss meals as that makes matters worse.

Hope you will be feeling a big more energised soon.x
