Hi can't seem to drink anymore -  can manage one glass of wine but once I drink two I act like a 14 year old and forget my pain -  do more than  I can (dancing, and on my feet more).  -   and next day I am a wreck ( sometimes its worth it though -  sometimes you just have to have fun !!)   but maybe that's just me!😊😊😊

Obviously that's with no medication x

More a case of how my fibro effects alcohol...go red in the face immediately and it goes straight to my head...so cant drink anymore...and I am on no meds...:-(

Alcohol appears to make my symptoms worse, so do not touch the stuff!! I also manage my symptoms without any medications, so it's not some sort of drug interaction. Not sure what I will do at my daughter's wedding later this year... hopefully they will provide a non alcoholic alternative to the champagne!!

I worked out when I was young, def. not for me!  I didn't like the taste or the hangover, or anything about it!

I think there are some ingredients in certain wines like any food or drink that can make fibro worse.  Personally I love a glass of wine but have to be selective of which one I have and only have a smallglass unfortunately as I am on medication and not every day.  A small glass gives me the appetite for dinner that I might not normally have and for me enhances the taste of the food.

I think it is like so many things what suits one doesn't suit another.x

Hi mysmugcat

I sincerely hope that you are feeling a swell as you possibly can be today? I have not had a drink in quite a few years do to so much medication, I dare not risk it!

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken

Hi not a good idea, especially with Meds, also Alcohol, dehydrates you so not fun for our muscles.

I am not on any meds either and I don't drink alcohol to often but have found I feel really ill after a couple of drinks over the last year .... last drink I had 2 weeks ago was 2 gin and tonics and felt really strange got palpitations and felt really nauseous....time before that was March for my anniversary 2 gin and tonics small glass of a fruit cider and spent the night throwing up....two charity events this week looks like I will be having lemonade
