Pain and tiredness. However there are things that you can do to help so ask to be sent on a course. In the mean time lots of advise on here but I think the most important thing is pacing yourself. Second is being kind to yourself and save some energy for fun things.

Hello Ripley1234
Welcome to our friendly forum, although I am sorry to hear you've been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia.
The problem with Fibro is that everyone is very different as to what symptoms and other illnesses they have.
I've had Fibro and CFS for over 30 years. I also have Hypermobility Syndrome as well as other conditions.
I would be here all day if I listed all of my symptoms!
The main issues are pain and fatigue. Pain can be anything from pain one day and none the next to pain so severe every single day that just getting out of bed is almost impossible.
I have severe pain every single day but make myself get out of bed to stop my body seizing up altogether.
It is very daunting so you may just want to give yourself some time to adjust to your diagnosis and have a look at the website Foggy has directed you to for some more information.
All the best
Blue xx
I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. I genuinely hope that you find the forum useful, informative and loads of fun!
I can see that you have been given some wonderful replies and the FMA UK link, so I will just genuinely and sincerely wish you all the best of luck.
All my hopes and dreams for you

Hi Ripley,
I am sorry you have been diagnosed with this illness. You have already been given all the informative bits you need so I would just like to say welcome
If you want a bit of distraction (what a lot of use to combat some of our symptoms) there a few gathering places....check for pick of the day and the coffee morning they are two of the favourite gathering spots for a bit of banter and fun. There are of course others which can be lots of fun and games, please do join in
There are usually plenty of fellow fibromites who can offer a wide range of advice to supplement what your doctor has told you. Ours is all from experience so should never take the place of your doctor but there is a lot of knowledgeable people about the forum.
I hope you can find your way around
