Flare?.

Been feeling soooo tired and lethargic, not an ounce of energy at all. All I want to do is sleep sleep and more sleep. Get up thinking I will feel better but within an hour am back in bed, fingers feel really stiff and sore an painful legs that I can't seem to hold still despite needing to. Am I experiencing a "flare" or could it be some other illness, getting quite worried now, it's never ending. Been like this for about 5 days now. .???

Sorry you are going through this it's awful, this is quite common with Fibro however if you haven't experienced this before do see your GP as there could be another cause. Lou x

I am going through the same thing. Its this grotty weather, and lack on sunshine. Yesterday was a beautiful sunny dry day, i got so much done and walked Basil, my dog. Today ugh! Feel like i been wrestling with a caveman

in reply to VonnyM

that's typical fibro.get a nice sunny day and feel you can do things but suffer for it afterwards.walking my dogs is now a struggle and takes all morning(day) to recover.re clares reply-gp's put everything down to IBS or a bowel condition when it s not probably cos they claim they don't have any answer s .make that appointment.hope you feel better soon

That's a good idea Lou, to rule out other possibilities. And there are times like Millie says, that outside conditions can make things worse.

Sometimes we have good days and bad days or good weeks and bad weeks.

I have been feeling better after having chronic fatigue symptoms for months, but that was partly due to abdominal issues, which the gastroenterologist is now calling IBS, a sort of catchall for "we don't really know what it is." If you ask me.

I still have days and days of wanting to sleep more, not wanting to get out of bed, and having to push myself to do so. And it doesn't necessarily have anything to do with overextending myself with chores or the like.

I hope you feel better soon, but I do think you should have your doctor look into it. Maybe you have vitamin deficiencies or something like that. Better to get some relief of the worry and take poitive steps to get help. We can only speculate. Do let us know how it goes for you.

Thank you for your replies, yes I have felt like this before but only for a couple of days......this seems to be lasting, although saying that I have started to feel slightly better, so I shall just keep resting today, while hubby is around to do chores etc, then if I don't feel any better tomorrow I shall see my GP, thing is it takes 3 weeks for an appointment! By the time you see him you feel better....ridiculous. Thanks again for your advice and support. Xx

Not ridiculous. You may well - IMO will - experience this again. I know I said I haven't been fatigued to the extent I was for awhile. Then today I came home around 1:30 and slept from 2 till almost 6. I was having sensitivity to light and sound, a bit of a headached, and one short bright burst of light peripherally, so I might also have had a migraine coming on.

Take care and maybe even keep a record of all your symptoms to take into the doc.

I am so sorry to read that you are feeling this way, and I hope that you can find some resolution and relief this issue. If this persists I would definitely discuss this with your doctor just to have things checked out?

Good luck
