Normally it's application, assessment, decision with group allocation.

Have you checked exactly what the invite is for? I was sent an appointment that sounded similar, when I checked with job centre it turned out to be a general invite to see how they could help me back to work. I explained inappropriate for me, wish I could work and that I was awaiting my assessment.

Worth checking.

Hi jeannie

I have not been through anything of this nature, but what jellynpain says sounds about right? I would ring them and just check it out?

I want to wish you all the best of luck.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Don't see anything amiss. Organisations go through their own procedures even if there's no point as information is lacking. They may need to do something by a particular date. Don't read anything sinister into it just because it makes no sense. I had an Atos assessment 3 months AFTER going back to work and 3 months after benefit had ceased. Wanted to see if I could work - well I'm back at work, slight no brainer.

I still went and was honest. I think it's the best policy. Still might be tempted to think about the way I handle myself though. For instance if you can, choose a chair with arms and use them to help you get up even if you don't normally. Allegedly they do some sort of "secret marking" while you're in the waiting area. Not sure I believe it but I wouldn't give them any ammunition.

You do not mention if you are claiming any benefit and what it is? They can ask you to an interview any time. However if you are on ESA Support you can inform them of this and you do not have to attend unless it is an assessment? If you are on ESA WRAG then unless you have a sick note you have to attend!

I would call them and ask why they have asked? It could be you are borderline in points and they are doing a review? If you had the forms back stating what they awarded for you previously and any of these are worse make sure they are aware of them!
