Has anyone attempted to get disability or approved for disability due to chronic migraines and fibromyalgia. I was diagnosed 13 years ago and the pain is so intense and I am tired all the time. I know I should get into a exercise routine but how do you do that when you can barely keep your eyes open? It is very cold and damp where I live and that is the worst to intensify the pain. I can barely type or hold a pencil due to the pain in my fingers and wrists. Please help me because I can't keep going on like this. I was diagnosed 13 years ago with my GP MD and have been seeing a neurolgist for the migraines and nerve pain. I have since seen 2 other GP MD's who see to shrug fibromyalgia off. I cry all the time because I am so down.

Fibromyalgia and cold
Oh dear, I'm so sorry, I can feel your pain coming of the page.i have had Fibro for over 30 years and like you I'm also plagued by chronic migraines. I am glad you are getting some help from a neurologist on that front, as new meds are being found which seem to be much more effective. I can still have them for days on end, but not to the same intensity as previously.
I completely agree, cold and damp make things a lot worse. I also think this time of year with the short days and long nights is hellish........now we can look forward to the days getting longer by 15 whole minutes a week - YAY
I am hopefully just coming out of a flare which rendered me more depressed than I can remember in a long time, there are causes which I won't bore you with but hold on to the fact that you will come through it and life will seem even a little easier....I know it's easy for me to say.
I'm sending lots and lots of positive pain and migraine busting vibes your way and really hope you start to feel better very soon

Hi tsheehan13
I have read your post with so much pain and sorrow for what you are having to endure. I genuinely hope that you can find the answers that you are looking for. I was wondering if you had ever considered yourself to be suffering from either ME and / or CFS, (the chronic fatigue syndrome), as you said that you are so tired all of the time and struggle to do anything? As this may help you to get disability? It may be worth discussing this with your GP and / or Medical Specialist to see what they think?
Another possibility is that you are lacking something in your body such as iron that leads to anemia? It may also be worth discussing anemia and / or Vitamin D and iron supplements with your GP and / or Medical Specialist as well?
I think it is time that you put yourself first and see what other doctors are at your surgery who may take your illness more seriously.
I want to wish you all the best of luck and a merry Christmas and happy new year.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
