Hi shamelle

I sincerely hope that you are feeling well today? Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. I genuinely hope that you find the forum useful and informative.

I think that my pain eases and comes again with a flare up! I have days of mild to moderate pain but not totally pain free, but then again, who does? I think that we are all individuals and therefore we all feel and react differently to both our illness and our medications.

I think the one thing I would say to help alleviate pain is to pace yourself and do not overdo things. Take it steady and do a bit at a time. I want to wish you all the best of luck.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Pain is there but your perception of it can change. Lack of pain is why Leprosy and diabetes are so dangerous. I have gone 17 days without pain relief tablets but whose counting!

Have you done a good pain management course? They can really help x

Hello Shamelle. Im sorry that you are in a lot of pain, You dont say what meds that you are on. The pain is always there but can usually be controlled by drugs and a change in life style, I know, We all cringe when we read that phrase, But learning how to pace what you do so that there is time to rest in between can make a big difference. So can the right exercises for you.

With this illness we are all different with different things wrong with us and need different treatments. so it can take time to sort things out

I would ask your GP to arrange for you to attend a pain clinic to start with.

and for more information visit our mother site at....fibroaction.org.

Meantime stay with us there are some wonderful people on this site. all willing to listen and give advice. We will even listen when you need to scream at the world.

Take care of yourself and if possible put your self first and rest as much as you can.

Hugs sue xx

This fibro thing it's a real pain in the .... body. I don't take meds for that, I endure the pain. I take supplements, curcumin, I exercise and I think that helps, it may be hard, but the more your body is strong and fit the better it is. We have to learn about our bodies, how it feels so that we can make the right changes. Sometimes you'll need more rest, sometimes more moving. take care

Sweetheart I'm sorry to say it only gets worse with age and symptoms. I've had other things wrong with me and turns out they are related to people with fibro. Try going to a pain clinic as it at least makes it bearable. Hang in there!!! xxx Mitzi
