Hi Hopey

I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? From what I have gathered from your post you have Lupus? Is this what you have been told?

I have pasted you a link to the Healthunlocked Lupus site as you may find this useful:

healthunlocked.com/lupusuk

I have also pasted you a pdf file from the British Journal of Rheumatology relating to anti-rnp antibodies and their clinical significance, so I hope that you find this really useful also:

rheumatology.oxfordjournals...

I want to wish you all the best of luck.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken

Hi Hopey,

In January I was diagnosed with Fibro - having had arthritis for many years, in spine, feet, hips, knees. I too tested strongly positive, Rheumy couldn't see why (the further tests for Lupus were clear) but has asked my GP practice to repeat these tests every 6 months for a couple of years to see if anything shows up, hope this helps. Apparently 5 % of the population will have postitive ANA anyway, good luck, x

Hello Hopey,

Hope you ok today, I was told I had Oseo to then be told I had FM by Rhuemy! I think I have both (they seem to go hand in hand) Also think I have IBS (won't bore you with the details). Hate going to docs, feel like a fraud, but my pain is so real I have to bite the bullet. I'm a newbie and not sure what ENA and RNP mean? can you shed some light? Thanks K

Hello Kmc-cudsleepforaweek,

ANA stands for Antinuclear Antibodies please see link;

rheumatology.org/Practice/C...

RNP stands for ribonucleoprotein, please see link;

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...

Hope this helps

Thanks everyone iim ok no havent been told i have lupus have only had feedback from my gp test result indicates anti RNP its says indication for sle or mctd seen my gp have been feeling a bit off colour itchy crawling feeling night sweat to the point if feeling I'm going to self combust and have symptoms of having a cold that has been going on since before christmas temp normal GP seems to think that the positive RNP might probably something to do with it had a bone scan done for hot spots so am just playing a waiting game for rhuemy to send a report to my gp to find out what her thoughts are
