I have been on a low dose for quite a while now it does help but it makes me hungry and as i dont want to put weight on i have to be careful

I hope that you are as well as can be? I have never taken it but my wife was on Gabapentin for over a year for her MS before they gave her something else. She started off on a low dose and it was increased slowly over a three month period. She had to take it in the morning and again a t night. It helped her quite a lot but since she has Primary Progressive MS she needed something different. Do you know what dosage they are going to start you on?

hi maise 1 I have been on gabapentin for almost 2 years now and my dose is 3 x 500mg 3 times a day. as you can see it is a large dose but it has increased to this over time and I feel it does help - I have other conditions as well. over the time I have put on just under a stone in weight but I do take a lot of other meds as well. hope it helps you.

I take 1.200 in a day and find they work very well. Can't say they make me hungry but have gained wait but I'm on steroids too. Give em ago see how u feel on them Hun xxx

Hi there they put me on max dose and fought it like hell but then I gave in and took it increasing the increment until the max dose was in place, I find it a godsend there have bee times when the pain wont let me sleep I pop two of those and im away before long my fibro pain would be and is at a minimum most of the time hope this helps xx

I take 3x600mg perday for the past nine years, they take the edge off of neuropathic pain.mi did increase them but foud they reacted badly with diazepam, so just keep it at 1800mg

I hope you get on ok. You need to start it off low and then increase it, your doctor should have advised you on that

I've gradually come off these (was on 1800mg) a day but gained over two stone which I cannot afford and also not convinced they were doing that much for me anymore.
