Has anyone been on the pain management course at Luton and Dunstable hospital?

I'm being referred and was wondering what happens ,how long it lasts and how many times a week.

Yes, I went on it a few years ago. It was run over 8 afternoon sessions, 1 per week. You will learn about the different types of medication, coping and pacing strategies, different types of relaxation techniques, and some simple chair based exercises etc. Usually there are members of staff from psychology, pain management nurse, a physio and occupational therapist.

Wow, that sounds great. I wish we had something like that here in the U.S.

I have been on one in scotland and some stuf was really usefull and some common sense( altho not very common these days) and some a bit patronising but deff worth going even if just for support good luck :)
