fighting for pension

Hi, is there a fact sheet to download that explains how fibromyalgia affects people? I was finished work in Dec 08 and applied for pension- long story but wrong forms given and it was not submitted for 3 years. I was diagnosed with fibro and now lupus too, but the consultant I saw back then has left and former employers are wanting evidence I was unfit for work ever again in Dec 08. They have letter dated April 10 but won't accept this. Thank you :)

If you go to the top of the main page of this site it's got home, questions, about us on there. Press the about us tab there is info on there and a phone number at the bottom of that page. Hopefully you'll be able to get the info you need. Good luck. I hope you manage to get things sorted out.

Hi, I don't know if this will help but I was in a similar situation to you. I paid a neurologist to examine me and produce a report - basically it stated how ill I was and that I could never work again. I presented that report to my former employers and am now receiving an occupational pension. It's not very much so I can also claim some Benefits and so I also use the neurologist's report for claiming too. Hope this helps. S x

hi, I paid when I was told what was needed but as it was 2010 by then, they say that doesn't mean I was unfit to work again in Dec 2008. I did get preferred benefits from that but not my ill health pension. My consultant has just written to say he supports my ill health application. Thanks for replying though :} xx
