So after 7 transfers, with 3 doubles I finally have a BFP!!! 😱😱💖💖 Still cannot believe I’m writing this!!
Very very early I know but the line is strong on FRER, and showing 2-3 weeks on clear blue. I did 4 different tests 🙈 12dp5dt today. I had bloods on Friday but still waiting for results.
Modified natural with ovitrelle trigger and progesterone. Plus prednisolone, clexane, and embryo glue.
I’ve tried to ignore most symptoms as I’ve had them before and BFN, but this time I’ve been getting headaches which I never do and I can’t stop eating!
I had spotting on Thursday 9dp5dt, which I thought was too late for implantation bleed. It was almost black. Nothing since but I am feeling really crampy so 🤞🏼 all is ok. 🩷💙

Awww yes you will get all kinds of symptoms, you may not. Everyone is different. Amazing news. First trimester is the hardest for some. Enjoy the experience ❤️
I am so hungry all the time! And lively. Wiped down radiators and light fittings, soaked cutlery in vinegar and baking soda and wiped up all my husbands shoes and reset his shoe rack! He was horrified - all I do is eat and clean… don’t know where this surge as some from so it must be the steroids!
I had some leave I had to use before the end of March. I went on a mad cleaning, tidying, sorting and selling spree. People thought I’d lost the plot 😂😂

I’m on a refund guarantee programme, which states they aim to have you pregnant within 18 months. It’s 3 cycles ending in live birth or full refund. When I started I was naive and thought a year and a half sounded ages! 🙈

Thankyou. I realised that negative would only attract negative. So whilst it’s hard and sometimes fake it till you make it, I have tried to be positive. I’ve read a book called The Secret. It’s not very long but made lots of sense to me. It’s on Amazon I think. Sorry to hear about your MC. Sending positive vibes your way. Stay strong x

Your first proper positive test is a massive milestone 😍 fingers crossed that the next nine months are plain sailing for you. Did you do anything different this time? Or is this just a case of it all being a massive numbers game? X
Thankyou. It still feels like a dream!! I promised my PA at the clinic I wouldn’t test early and I held on! I watched the test as I couldn’t bear to have to come back to it, and straight away this second line started to appear!! X
I am sure he is. I lost my mum just as we found out we were pregnant. I know she is looking after us wherever she is same as your dad is looking after you xx
I still cannot believe it! There’s been lots of tears, not from me! I’m trying to remember it’s super early, but also be super positive and enjoy it. The clinic said it’s a number game - just had to get to my lucky one! 💖

I tested day 12, is that still early? The line on the FRER couldn’t be any darker though 🙈 And it came up straight away. Gives me goosebumps now remembering it! I was convinced it would be blank!
Well I guess I opened myself up to twins with. Double transfer! And I now have no embryos left so this is it for a chance of a sibling 🙈 x
Yes, it'll normally say 2-3 weeks when you're actually about a week or so further ahead than now. It normally would say 1-2 weeks at this point. So I wouldn't be surprised 😃🥰 wishing you all the best on your journey xxx
Congratulations! 🎉🎊 I know you have been on this journey for such a long time and I was thinking about you when I read your post about this being your 7th transfer. What an incredible (and obviously so much wanted!) outcome. I have had 5 donor egg transfers fail and said to myself I was done but part of me really wants to try again - just one more time.. Your story gives people like me who have had multiple IVF cycles fail some hope. So glad to hear your positive story- it's your time now
Thankyou so much. It’s only been 16 months but with 7 transfers and 10 trips to Spain it seems so much longer! Although my journey to be a mum has been a lot longer…. I never imagined I would fall into the category of RIF especially with using DE.
I don’t think you sound like you are ready to give up yet. I am on a donor refund programme which includes 3 cycles and all transfers. I only got 3 embryos from the first cycle but was lucky to get 7 from the second.

Would you mind sharing your prednisolone dose? I've been on similar med protocol for my last four donor transfers that failed but I was prescribed 10 mg prednisone daily. I've heard some people say they got a higher dose and there is the question of whether I have some possible autoimmune issue contributing to these previous failed transfers.
I’m only on 5mg twice a day. My Dr said he’s not happy any higher cause of risk to embryo. I haven’t had any indications of auto immune issues and it was prescribed as a precaution

congrats! Can I ask did you push, request and pay extra for the embroy glue? I requested it on my 3rd transfer and I was told they no longer offer that.
Was the prednisolone and Clexane, prescribed for you or can you get these meds over the counter?
My clinic recommended all 3. Embryo glue included on my program but I know others have paid extra for it. Clexane and prednisolone are prescription only.

Just read your post. Sorry I don’t have any experience as I’ve never been on meds and my cycle is still regular. I’m also using DE so menapause isn’t a factor for me. Hopefully someone will be able to respond to you and give you some advice x
Yes it is! But you can guarantee with virtually every situation there will be someone who’s experienced it. Try not to stress too much, easier said than done I know! X
I so hope it’s just the scan prompted it to start early… I’d just had a really positive week as there were plenty of follicles so I’m gutted… if you don’t mind me asking did you choose DE right away due to age or other reasons and how did you select Spain? DE is something I’ve been reading a lot about with being 42 x
I had a random bleed between periods and had a transfer cancelled once. It’s. So disappointing. But don’t lost hope. I
I had NHS cycle at 37 with OE. I only got 3. 2 transferred but BFN.
To get on a refund guarantee programme I had to go with DE due to my age. I considered trying with my OE but due to my age it was likely that a very high percentage would be abnormal.
If you google top 10 countries for IVF Spain is right up there. I also used Egg donation friends clinic finder tool which gave me recommendations. I then looked at reviews on them and packages they offered to narrow it down. I had initial online consultations with 2 and decided IB was my top choice.
My options were limited as several countries do not accept singles! I also wanted anonymous donors. Spain has very short waiting lists for donors. Plus I do look Spanish!
