Hi, I’m having my next FET this afternoon (27/02) single transfer. Just wondering if anyone else was transferring around the same time or just recently starting their TWW.

Good luck MiniMe23 , fingers crossed for you! My FET is end of next week so won’t be far behind! How have you found the meds leading up to your FET? I’m on oestrogen (Elleste solo tablets), and aspirin, then add cyclogest pesseries this weekend. Feels very odd not doing any injections like I did last time, not complaining though 😊 xx
Aww thank you. And here’s hoping the coming week flys by for you. The meds I’m on now are the same as previously. Utrogestan pessaries x3 daily, and Progynova x3 daily along with lubion injections daily and starting from tomorrow Clexane and aspirin. However before I was very sore and bloated plus the pessaries caused lots of irrration. In addition I felt like I put on about 2 stone. This time Iv only had the irritation but have been very nauseous which is new to me. But all the symptoms will be worth it if successful.
Transfer went really well today and embryologists said our embryo had thawed beautifully in her words. So it was nice she was so positive before hand. Now comes the hard part. As I absolutely hate the TWW and the temptation to test early that comes with analysing every little twinge. xx

Oh brilliant. All the best. Are you having single or double? Bursting bladder can be so painful. I was overly full at mine and had to go and partially empty it. I’m okay thank you. Had my bloods done at 10:30. But won’t get results until tea time all being well. So just trying to keep busy again whilst I wait in limbo xx

Thank you! ❤️ official test date is Sunday 17th March - the clinic give me a urine test to take at home on that date, and then a finger prick test to take 3 days later. If both positive, they book a scan in for day 35-40. Going to be a lonnnng 10 days but going to take a leaf out of your book and keep nice and busy! Won’t test early I don’t think, I didn’t last time and i think that works best for me xx
Iv heard a lot do that. But not experienced it myself. And seems forever away like today did. But it honestly wasn’t that bad. Having this thread and plenty of distraction tactics helped me this time around. And first time Iv never caved and tested early. Largely in part to all you lovelies.

However my levels were lower than expected so have to have my bloods done again in 48 hours to check everything is progressing as it should. I am happy but don’t feel I can enjoy the moment with all the uncertainty. Hoping and praying this little one is a fighter and was just late to implant xx

But then like you say, then it’s waiting on a scan. I’ve had high rush pregnancies so that’s a worry in itself. The only benefit being that I get regular monitoring scans every fortnight which adds extra reassurance x

Thank you so much. Iv got everything crossed for myself and everyone on this thread and forum. And yes my dr advised to take both following transfer. Iv suffered lots of natural miscarriages previously so I think that’s the reason behind it.
Although I don’t envy anyone taking Clexane. As I personally find it the hardest injection to take as the needle never seems to penetrate skin well and it stings and burns afterwards x

Mine too. The Lubion I can take. But the Clexane….. Wow!!! 😣
It stings and burns for around an hour after. Wish I could have it in a glass vile. Mine are in a pre loaded injection with a huge spring inside and the needle is really thick. I feel like a human pin cushion x

MiniMe23 mine are the same you should see my tummy… so bruised. Sometimes they hurt for days after as well, don’t they? the injection sites?

Yes they do. And I’d consider myself as having a high pain threshold. But they are brutal. On a night I can’t get comfy as I’m usually a side sleeper and partly on my stomach. But I’m now so tender for left to right. X

Morning,
No not everyone will need them. Depends on your protocol and plan from the doctor. I have previously had a high miscarriage rate and also preterm delivery so as a result, if positive I’ll be looking to take them right up until week 16. Possibly longer. And potentially adding in a steroid such as pednisolone x

Thank you so much for checking in. Egg retrieval yesterday, 17 eggs, 9 IVF, 8 ICSI, 9 have fertilised (3 of those were IVF). I’m so bloated and uncomfortable but happy with our collection and hopeful transfer can go ahead Wednesday.

I’m okay thank you. Just taking each day as it comes. Congratulations on your collection. That’s an amazing number. Is this your first collection? And do you mind me asking the decision behind both ivf & icsi?
Hopefully your boating subsidies soon. I hated that feeling and could not get comfortable. And in the first 2 days followed EC I was bigger than I had been at 5 month pregnant.
Wednesday will be here soon enough. Enjoy this time beforehand. Here’s hoping and praying your transfer is a successful one x

Oh that makes me feel better, I literally cannot believe how “big” I am. I don’t mind, it’s just not comfortable at all and I didn’t expect it to be as bad as this.
Yes, first collection. The clinic advised splitting due to inconsistent results for my partner. Clearly a wise decision as only a third of the IVF eggs fertilised. I know there’s no guarantee for Wednesday but it has made me feel more optimistic than I’ve been previously. I just keep reminding myself it only takes one!

Thank you for asking. My HCG had doubled again yesterday. Which is fantastic. Having them repeated agai this Thursday then a week later the following Thursday so trying to just relax and enjoy it a little now xx

Im going insane

I’m pretty much the same. Had the most restless night ever last night and just heading to work now. Iv given up with the symptoms, still feeling every slight twinge but quickly distract myself immediately so I’m not second guessing what is happening or what it means. Are you planning on testing early then tomorrow. That’s the one thing I’m trying to do differently this time round. I like the idea of knowing sooner. But if negative still have to prolong the agony & meds etc until beta.

Its just trying to keep your brain busy when all you have probably thought about for the last few years is IVF. I think I also have to stop myself comparing twinges or how I feel to our first failed embryo transfer.
Yes I have to get up early for work so will be early doors so guessing wont sleep well tonight i was up at 5am prepping a stew due to not being able to sleep.

I’ve had one tiny bit of blood today but I’ve been to see a fertility acupuncturist today and she said it’s nothing to worry about and she thinks all is absolutely fine. She actually said from my pulse and the way my bodies reacting she thinks both embryos are still doing great! So let’s see.

I don’t know where I’m getting the energy from. But I’m determined to occupy my mind no matter what. I have never got to OTD without caving early. So I’m pretty pleased with myself on that one.
Keep busy today. School run then gymnastics. Work tomorrow followed by vets then dancing, nice tea, shower and bed so I can get the school run out of the way and head in for bloods xx

Hi, I’m not too bad thanks. Still had lots of symptoms last night & today. But most have completely subsided now or just frequent in waves. I would be due on, on Friday 8th and at times Iv felt AF was due although the pains/cramps were in different places to AF.
So who truly knows what is going on in there. Either way at least I will know tomorrow. How about you. How are you feeling, bet your excited for your scan tomorrow xx

I’m really hoping that’s what they are as they started 4/5dpt therefore early to be AF. And I took all my tests to my office so I wouldn’t be tempted to test. Iv had the bloods done and just waiting on my results coming back. Iv really surprised myself with the the self discipline to test early this time. Iv never waited to OTD. But now it’s here even if I had one to hand I’d be apprehensive to pre on the stick. In case it’s stark white. Crazy isn’t it. You panick over no symptoms but have symptoms and still don’t feel reassured in the slightest.

Supposed to be anytime after 1 as they are sent away and not tested on site. First 2 I got the call by 1:30. Last FET delay meant I was chasing them up at 4:30 and ended up having to wait until the following afternoon which wasn’t ideal. Really hope that’s not the case today. If so I might have to nip to boots and pee in a stick after all xx

I have a girl. And she has pestered me for a sibling for the longest time. And would really like either but a little sister if she could choose. She’s a real little mother hen so I know she will be amazing. I’m just hoping and praying HCG is slow to rise. And everything works out. As Iv never had the best luck regarding pregnancy or fertility. But got everything crossed and hoping and praying for increased results.
Working today 8:30-7. Hopefully it’s a distraction and stops me worrying xx

Hi, don’t be sorry. My blood hcg level was on the low side and apparently under the clinic’s threshold of 80. They wouldn’t say what my exact number was. But that sometimes they require a second blood test 48 hours apart. To ensure it’s doubling and not decreasing. What they mean is they want to check viability and rule out it being chemical or another ectopic.

I have to be in at before 10 am as blood work gets collected at 11 & 3 everyday. Not sure about Saturday protocol but hoping I’ll get a call tomorrow tea time with the results. I will ask the question in the morning just to clarify. I’m also going to see if any consultant is free to do a quick internal scan. As I’m trying hard to stay positive but am also worried about a second ectopic. As my last one almost killed me and I was in hospital over 2 weeks. So that possibility is making me anxious. And just knowing it’s in a safe location would give me so much peace of mind.

Morning, and not a silly thing at all I did actually bring mine back from work.
Re Ectopic, yes they are very scary. My last one ruptured multiple times and I was found unconscious and woke up in hospital 2 days later. That’s why I’m so worried. Plus with the clinic saying my levels were slightly low. Iv done 2 hpt’s so far. They are positive but the test line is fairly light which you’d expect with a low level. So not much of a comfort or definitive answer. But I suppose the initial HCG isn’t really the issue. It’s todays result that matters as today we can compare to see how fast it’s rising x

Thanks for checking in. I’m pleased to say my first retest has doubled. Retesting again on Monday now and every 48 hour’s until the consultant is happy with the progression. But thankfully everything is moving in the right direction. I’m currently 4+2 today and have been offered an early scan for peace of mind at 5+5 just to check the location.

I think I’ve been completely signed off by my clinic now after an early scan I need to check but pretty sure I just follow the nhs standard process now. I’d love another scan through them though if possible x 😂

Thank you. We are based in Birmingham. I do think they are helpful and thorough but I do think a lot is due to me pushing and my previous history. As when I initially started I had my consultant gasping and 2 nurses in tears. Thankfully they are very empathetic to mine and other’s situations. But I was very pleased to be told yesterday that after the standard 3 re checks. If I’m not reassured I can let them know and they’ll continue, maybe reducing to weekly. And I’m not being charged any additional for these bloods either. Hopefully when I’m transferred to NHS I will continue with additional monitoring too as for me there is no safe gestation.
I’d contact your clinic and explain that you’re anxious and see if they can give you one final scan before signing you off. Can’t hurt to ask either way. How far are you exactly? xx

lol I know what you mean. Waiting for test day, then scan day followed by more waiting and worrying. I’m not sure there’s a point it will get or feel any easier at this point. My symptoms came and went in my last pregnancy and consultant always said that’s completely normal. So try not to worry too much about symptoms. As obvious as it sounds. Keeping busy is really the best medication for anxiety such as this xx

Ive actually been to the early pregnancy unit this evening and they told me not to worry. Took my bloods but told me not too worry

The anxiety is off the scale. Really hope it subsides soon. But always best to get checked. Do you feel reassured a little now? Good they have taken your bloods and offered a scan too. I was thinking of going to my EPU following my clinic scan too for extra checks and reassurance as I had them with my last daughter. And the extra checks honestly made all the difference. Let me know how your bloods went when they update you. Fingers crossed it’s nothing to worry about xx

I’m 8 weeks on Saturday and they were 32000 so completely normal. I’ve got a scan tomorrow at 9am

That’s brilliant. I’m back in for bloods tomorrow and then again the following Thursday. I’m going to book my scan tomorrow when I go in. They did mention the possibility of scanning next Thursday when they repeat bloods. But I’ll be 6 weeks then. So would rather they scan me on Tuesday at 5+4. Just to confirm location and try to ease my anxiety. Woke up at 4 am today with a really queasy stomach. And low down stomach and pelvic pain. Could be something and nothing but it’s scared me to death and I wasn’t doing too bad before hand. Iv got to go to work shortly and can’t not go in as Iv got a high workload today. However my anxiety has sky rocketed, I’m now fearing the worst and my mind definitely won’t be on the job.
Tomorrow honestly can’t come soon enough xx

I am really sorry to hear that your anxiety is similar to mine. It’s really not easy is it. They are pretty quick with coming back about the blood results aren’t they which is good. So I’m getting you will know tomorrow/Friday? I think the pain could be a good sign to be honest. Implantation cramps or something like that? I have started bleeding which obviously is very worrying. It’s not easy at all is it. If felt shocking today. I’m not even sure how I made it through work. Roll on tomorrow when I’ll get a little bit of reassurance hopefully. My bloods are always done first thing and collected at 11. So results are usually back same day before 4pm. I’m honestly so tired, I feel like I’m running on empty. And the nausea and sickness have been horrendous today. Really hoping I manage to get some sleep and we both get good news tomorrow. I’ll have everything crossed as tightly as I can for us both. I’ll be contacting my gp tomorrow I think to refer through the EPU as at least I’ll have them for concerns and reassurance if needed xx

I actually managed to get some sleep last night and not spring out of bed before 5am. Just had my bloods repeated. So now just waiting again and fingers crossed all is well. Also early scan booked for next Tuesday 19th xx

Hi, I’m okay thank you. Felt a lot better today. The pains and sickness yesterday were unbearable & I felt so ill. So I went back to bed today after the school run & bloods. I definitely needed it and managed a few hours sleep. Brilliant news about your scan. ❤️
You just need to try and relax now where possible (easier said than done I know). Was there one heartbeat at your scan then? If so your probably right and that may explain the slight bleeding.
Hopefully there’s no more now, I’m just glad everything is looking as it should for you.
My bloods have settled my nerves a little now. Thankfully! 💜
So I also need to try and take my own advice. They were last done Monday 11th so Iv gone a day over the 48 hours. My result today has more than quadrupled and is slightly higher than the expected level had I tested Monday Wednesday and tomorrow with exactly 48hours between each. Which was nice to hear. Now I can’t wait until Tuesday (I’m constantly wishing time away lol). Heartbeat may or may not be visible then as I’ll be 5+5 but at least I’ll know then if it’s in the right location which is one more thing less to worry about. But according to my bloods it’s not looking like an issue. Seems mine was just a little late to implant after all. Xx

I completely agree. Iv just had to order another prescription as I I was running out and also need to continue hopefully if positive. Although I’ll be medicated up until 16 weeks then reviewed according to my consultant. I hate the side effects but would take them indefinitely if it meant I got to give birth again xx

Iv had a mixture of everything from 4/5dpt. Sore tingling boobs, waves of nausea, lower back pain, dull aching abdominal pains, stabbing pains central and to one side and feeling that AF was ready to show. The pains do come and go though and are not as low down as period pains. As I suffer horrendously with mine.
Also 2 periods of loose bowel movements sorry (tmi). For me it was the boobs and nausea that made me feel positive and able to hold of testing x

I had my FET yesterday! All went smoothly- now just trying to not read into every symptom. Trying to stay positive and hopeful, whilst also trying to protect myself and think realistically!

When is your official test date? And do your clinic do bloods or will you be testing at home? x
OTD is 8th March, so least it’s not too long to wait, just need to keep myself busy!! I have to go to the hospital for a blood test on the morning, then get a call from the clinic in the afternoon with the result. How about you? x
We’re really close then. Only a day apart for both. My bloods are booked in for the 7th March in the morning, I should then receive a call by 3pm. Trying to keep myself busy, I work full time and have a 7 year old. So you’d think it wouldn’t be that difficult. But miraculously I still find time to worry and read into every little detail. Although I’m hoping to be slightly better this time. And also not to test early as I caved in my last one xx

Hopefully you’ll get good nee soon enough. Mine kept me waiting until almost close of play. I was seconds from ringing them. Thankfully I got my BFP. But HCG levels are on the low side so having to have bloods repeatedly every 48 hours. So still patiently waiting and silently praying all is actually well xx

Congratulations! That’s amazing news. I am so happy for you. I’m doing okay thank you. HCG has doubled then more than doubled after each 48 hours. So I’m now trying to relax and enjoy the fact that I am pregnant again after so long. Having them repeated Thursday now after another 72 hours. So fingers crossed xx

I have an at home test to do. We transferred Thursday 22nd. I'm feeling fine at the moment. I'm usually OK for the first week to 10 days though so will see how I feel at the weekend! I've had not much by way of symptoms. Headache the first 24-48 hours but that's caused by sedatives I take for transfer. A few minor cramps and twinges but nothing to write home about. Sore boobs. Crazy dreams. The odd night sweat. All just adjusting to the drugs again I think and all calming down now. How are you? x
I’m not too bad to be honest. I’m very much get on with things and what will be will be. Symptom wise leading up to transfer this time just bloating, nausea and headaches from hell. But it’s all settled down for the most part x
That's good. I didn't have much on the run up at all, it is just since I started the lubion last Thursday I've been feeling it but nothing serious and nothing too bad! Yes I think that's the best approach. You can't change the outcome so no point fretting about it - I know that will change the second I see any spotting though! Fingers crossed for us both! xx

Yeah the lubion isn't particularly pleasant side effect wise! It is also sore - I'm already struggling for spots to inject!
Same. I’m a side sleeper too and toss and turn a bit and have been waking myself up when I turn onto my injected side. Fingers crossed 🤞🏽 it will all be worth it x
I my fresh transfer yesterday (27th Feb). First cycle and 1 early blastocyst transferred. 4 others were being left to grow one more day and then will be frozen. All five that fertilized made it to day 5 so that’s positive. OTD is 9th March. Hoping the time passes by quickly! Luckily work will be busy so I stay off google! Good luck with yours!

I’m feeling fine. Not too much in the way of symptoms just the odd twinge here and there. Congratulations on your positive. That’s amazing. Everything crossed for your scan now. I like you have another child. Slightly older at 7 but I’m feeling optimistic. I only wish I hadn’t let the age gap grow so much. And I was all geared up for twins in my head as I had a previous loss of twins some years ago. And my 7 year old had a twin (vanishing) initially. Both were natural conception previously. Iv also had failed transfers too, but I’m feeling hopeful. And one more frostie left after this one x

Glad your so confident & That’s good keeping yourself positive. Iv had similar with lots of friends trying or announcing pregnancies. Most recently my cousin sent her scan and pregnancy announcement yesterday as I was awaiting transfer. And she told the kids today so I told my little one who’s got mixed emotions and ended up in tears questioning why I haven’t had another one. I felt awful and really hoping I can surprise her with some good news some day soon x

I guess ups and downs are all part of this rollercoaster we’re on. And not particularly I’m working at least 4 days this week and next with lots of after school clubs. So I’m the odd occasion I’m free I plan to just catch up with friends and go for a few meals lately. I did have Thai/Swedish massage booked for tomorrow that was booked way back. But it’s not really recommended so may get my nails or something done instead. How about you? X

No, mine is the 12th!!! A full two weeks. I never listen and will do an early test on Thursday morning. I did an early detection test last time and felt better thinking it had failed than being in limbo. I struggle with the not knowing and even if the result is wrong I know I can handle that more than just waiting around for a full fortnight. At the moment I still have no symptoms whatsoever and I’m so so bored!
Oh wow in comparison that seems ages away. I’m not surprised that you plan to test early. It amazes me how the timescale differs so much from clinic to clinic. It’s crazy and you’d think they’d fall in line if day 9/10 is also long enough to give accurate results.
No symptoms is not a bad sign though. Plenty without still get BFP. We’ll be testing the same day then.

Yeah it’s super long compared to pretty much everyone else. It is a day 5 blastocyst too and no trigger shot this time so I don’t see how you would get a false positive unless it was a chemical. I got the results back and it was 142.7, I didn’t actually speak to a person but apparently this is fine 🤷🏻♀️. I keep telling myself “many people don’t get symptoms”. Last time I had insane cramps on day three in the night and started spotting on day 5 but it was a fully red bleed not a pale one. So I guess nothing is better than a repeat of that! How are you today?
Definitely better than comparing to a previous failed transfer. And I’m sure my clinic said anything over 100 was excellent. Although I personally don’t know my level at the time of transfer so I’m just hoping for the best. I’m okay today tbh. Had a decent sleep. Woke up early still with low down dull ache. But telling myself ivf is the worst for playing mind games. And just keep moving. I’m optimistic that Thursday will be here before we know it though.
Was planning to go out somewhere today. But it’s absolutely torrential outside. So think I’ll be staying put x

No can’t say I really had anything prior to transfer. Just the obvious uncomfort from an overfilled bladder. But I’m hoping it’s exactly what you said.
Regarding the weather. So much for spring. I’m just glad I took the dog out first thing. As she hates the rain. And will literally hold her wee rather than go outside to the toilet lol 😂

On my previous FET I tested 1 day early because it was my birthday on the day I was supposed to test and if it was negative I didn’t want to find out on my birthday. Sadly it was negative. This time I’m going to hold off and wait the full 2 weeks even though it’ll be a long wait. What about you? Xx

How are you feeling today? Better I hope! I am much the same. Taking every day as it comes and determine not to test early this time. Symptom wise Iv had a few that also come and go. But not reading into them too much. As are they really even real or side effects of the meds. So don’t be too hard on yourself many people get BFP having had no symptoms whatsoever, so we’re all definitely firmly in the race.
Do you have anything nice planned for today to occupy you?
And o the plus side we’ve all survived the weekend and are closer to our test days and hopefully success x 🤞🏽 ❤️

Im also trying not to read too much into symptoms as I know it can be the meds. Although, I had a failed FET before Christmas and had no symptoms following the transfer so when I get any symptoms now it’s hard not to get ahead of myself.

Hi, glad you’re feeling a bit better than yesterday. It definitely is a rollercoaster we’re on and a pretty brutal one at that. That’s why it’s important to be kind to yourself. My test date is Thursday.
And I’m doing okay at the minute. Just a bit sore. I was up at the crack of dawn this morning. Which is typical as it’s the only other day I could have had a lie in. But hey ho, it’s definitely been a busy one. Out with the dog at 8, then a big food shop. Followed by swimming for my DC and currently slaving away making Sunday dinner.
Back to work first thing do not much time for overthinking at the minute. So sorry to hear about your failed cycle. I had a failed then too. And to be honest Iv never had success following any transfer. Yet one I had all the symptoms and the others absolutely nothing. And all were BFN, that’s why as much as we can’t help but take notice of o what our bodies are doing you can’t really read into anything in the TWW.
How’s your week looking, working resting or any nice plans? Easier said than done but try not to worry too much. Be kind to yourself and I’m sending lots of love positive energy and baby dust your way xx

Sorry you’ve had some spotting.
Easier said than done I know. But try to stay positive. Light brown spotting is often a positive sign. Or could be old blood from pessaries or even transfer as both can cause irritation x

Yeah I know what you mean, I was thinking that if I test today and it’s negative it gives me a few days to prepare for Monday which is my official test date. I’m really not sure. I have a few mild symptoms. Nothing unbearable. But fully aware they are also side effects of medication. Very bloated and always tired. But less nervous this time round and just trying to remain positive and keep myself busy one day at a time x
This is my first time and I didn't get anymore embryos. But honestly I would say I'm not doing too bad with anxiety, but I would be lying if I said I didn't have any. Hope the best for both of us and all the others on the thread.

Mine was BFP. But my HCG levels were on the low side. I’m back in the clinic for repeat blood’s tomorrow which will be 48 hours later. Really hoping they have doubled or more and I just had a late implanter.

Hi, congratulations on your BFP. 101 is a brilliant number and beta’s definitely more reliable than any stick test. Maybe try testing again in 2/3 days. Easier said than done I know but spotting is a good sign for many so Iv got everything crossed for you.
My clinic didn’t tell me the actual figure just that it was lower than they’d like and that they’d like to retest. I was told by one nurse they like 60+ with another saying 80+.
I’m going with the presumption I’m <60. Thankfully my results had doubled by today. So hoping I just had a late implanted. Despite all the early pains and symptoms. So I’m staying positive. Retesting again on Monday morning now. And praying my levels keep rising.

I’ve been binge eating beetroots and chugging away at the pomegranate juice 😂. That’s it aside from the obvious stuff. I’m on Inessa vitamins and have cut out caffeine and also decaff drinks. I have hot lemon water if I want something warm to drink. I feel far stricter this time around. I just had the smallest amount of very faint brown discharge and I am trying not to read into it. I don’t know what my progesterone test result was and they were meant to call, so I am going to call them tomorrow to make sure it was fine. X
sorry to hear about the discharge. But it’s probably something and nothing. Pessaries can cause irritation and some bleeding which if not fresh could result in what you’ve experienced. Fingers crossed it’s nothing serious. As for the myths do what feels right, chugging included 😂
After all. It can’t hurt can it. And it almost gives you some sense of comfort knowing your potentially helping x

I'm also eating lots of beetroot! I love it anyway and it is so easy to add into meals and lunches 🙂

I’m okay thanks. Started cramping today with bouts of breast pain that came in waves. Then this evening it was like a dull ache, almost like period was due with nausea. But I’m not concentrating too much on symptoms as I know these meds like to play mind games with us.

It’s hard not to read into symptoms isn’t it? I actually feel no different and haven’t really had any symptoms from any of the meds either aside from a weird middle of the night intense cramping thing pre transfer and a really sore bum from the cyclogest! I’m okay but I have cabin fever a bit today. I normally exercise 4/5 times per week and what with it raining all day today I haven’t been able to expend any energy. Other than that I feel fine. I am hoping I can go for a short walk tomorrow. Xx
I get like that and hate been stuck in doors. But a walk sounds nice. Hopefully the weather clears up for you. I’m working a long day tomorrow 8-7 so won’t have much time to think about anything. But I have the weekend off. So hoping a couple of nice walks then. Take my daughter out and maybe squeeze in a pedicure as a little treat to myself x

Hope you are feeling OK today MiniMe23 and got through that long shift!! Another day down and another day closer! Very little symptom-wise for me today. Feeling like I've broken the back of the TWW now though. Just this weekend and then I'm on the home straight 🙂
That’s brilliant wish I was on the home stretch. But hopefully won’t seem too long. And yes work seemed never ending today. But got out at 7:15 and headed straight out to meet family for food, to satisfy my raging hormones. Saved me cooking which was a bonus! Definitely looking forward to a lie in tomorrow though after being up at around 5am 8 days straight.
Symptom wise not much. Same dull ache. And almost like a mild period pain along with a slight fluttering feeling (best way I can describe it). The breast pain/tenderness comes in waves and lasts no more than 5 minutes at a time so who knows what’s going on inside.
If only we had a little window to the womb x
I'm sure if they made home scanners to watch the embryos we would all pay a fortune to have one! That's good you got out for dinner after work, sounds like a long day though! Enjoy the lie in. I'll be up at 7am to take my meds but might sneak back to bed afterwards! My boobs are sore all the time 🤣 and I know the fluttering feeling you mean. I say it is like my uterus has flipped like your stomach when you go over a bump too fast in a car! Everything I have had so far is explained by the drugs though so I can't call it at all yet. Just got to keep holding out!!
That’s the one! The car over a bump or the big dip on a rollercoaster. I can’t call mine either as they are all side effects of the medication. I’m really surprising myself though. Not even thinking of testing early this time. Not that I’d test right now as it’s too early, but Iv usually bought tests ready in anticipation. This time round Iv removed any remaining tests out of the house. But I’ll be the same tomorrow, hopefully lie in past 5. If I can sleep until 7 am that will be a treat. Walk the dog, take my morning meds and try grab an extra hour.
And that’s a symptom I didn’t mention. Tiredness! I’m a lot more tired this time round than following my previous transfers.
I'm actually the opposite. Every other round I've been absolutely knackered and sleeping really badly - between waking up with night sweats and needing to pee - and when I was sleeping I didn't feel rested as had such vivid dreams. I'm waking up at 5.30/6am needing to pee and have had the odd bad night this time but much better. That is just helping everything mentally too - the lubion is not fun to take but when I have enough energy to stay active it really helps deal with the low moods! I have a heap of tests but like you I'm not tempted yet. I'm now counting down, 6 days to get through, 9 days down! To be honest in my last rounds I've not been tempted until something happened - spotting or insane cramping - or if something in my life made me need to know - going away with work or kids parties etc. I have planned nothing this time. Also usually only when I'm convinced I'm out do I want to test and put myself out of my misery, and so far nothing! Fingers crossed that's a good sign 🤞
I agree. Definitely a good sign and as everyone presents differently there is no set rule book. Therefore we can only go on what we feel. That been said Iv read posts from others who have had 2+ BFP’s with each one being the polar opposite of what they were expecting based on their previous. It really isn’t easy to tell one way or the other. But test day will be here soon enough.

Iv not had any vivid dreams as such but have reoccurring ones about how I surprise my daughter with the news but each time the announcement has been different. And also getting up for the toilet multiple times.

Iv had the odd few. Really tired on a night and falling asleep phone in hand most nights. Normally I toss and turn for around 2 hours before falling asleep. Some mild twinges to a dull ache lower abdomen. And mildly sore boobs which comes on in waves. It’s a funny sensation. Toilet more frequently and some waves of nausea. But nothing too intense or ongoing x

Hi, glad you’ve got out for a bit today. I was the same. Really wanted to take advantage of a lie in today but I was up with the birds. My migraines have settled but in the beginning with the Progynova they were debilitating. Really hope you feel better soon. I had to stop half way round the supermarket earlier as the cramps just came on really intense. I was struggling to walk. Hopefully we’re both feeling better by tomorrow x
That's not so good! I haven't had anything like that cramping wise. 🤞 Fingers crossed it was the embryo bedding in. I haven't had many migraines this time and thought I was past the migraine stage last week, so a bit annoyed to be feeling rubbish today! I usually only get them when I start a new drug so fingers crossed it is a good sign this time! x

Hi MiniMe23, I'm the same as Elly5287, I really feel like my period is here except I have no bleeding. So I think the drugs are holding it off. I've decided I'm not testing until Friday so just trying to tell myself I might be wrong. I have however also had a migraine since Sunday evening (I'm not a migraine sufferer) and haven't had any spotting (which I have had on my period due date on other negative cycles) so trying to tell myself that's something different and might be a good sign so we aren't out yet. But in my heart I feel we are out. How are you getting on? x
I’m okay. But at times feeling a little bit the same. I had some really intense cramp like stabbing pains Sunday that stopped me in my tracks. Yesterday I had stomach ache and thought the same. But it was coupled with really overwhelming nausea that resulted in me being sick at lunch time. Which is not something I typically have when I’m due on. The nausea lasted all day and night and I also had a really loose bowel movement in the evening (sorry tmi).
It was so bad I was in bed for 8pm. Woke up this morning to absolutely nothing at 6am. But on the school run had slight nausea creeping back and stomach flutters. These meds are playing havoc with us all. But trying to remain positive and hold out until Thursday as planned xx
Wow that sounds like a good sign to me, but each of us knows our own bodies best don't we! Fingers crossed for you - you only have one more morning to wake up before test date. You are nearly there! (Although if it is BFP I hope you feel better soon!) I've also had the 'loose bowels' the last 24 hours too (no such thing as TMI on here!) but to me that's a sign of my period. Everything I've read says constipation is the result of pregnancy - I definitely dont have that! I've had the odd stomach flutter but not nearly as much as in previous cycles. I also haven't had the fatigue or the needing to pee that I've had in previous rounds so I'm feeling pretty down and definitely expecting a BFN now. Friday isn't far away either though and I always tell people on here that you aren't out until you are out. So I'm not out until Friday, and alot can change in 3 days in this world x
Just reading all of your updates. You all sound like you’re having a much rougher time than I am! I don’t feel like my period is coming and I don’t feel pregnant either 😂. I had two womb pang sessions that were basically two pangs each time.I think that was on Sunday. That’s it. I feel absolutely normal. So if I’m pregnant I will be amazed.

You’d be amazed at how many people get their positive without a single symptom. I’m just hoping I’m personally not one of those people. As I had symptoms with my other pregnancies early on. Although I know each one is different and I shouldn’t compare.

It sounds like you had a horrendous day yesterday!! Did you have one or two embryos transferred?
Just one. Although I really wanted 2 put back as I only had 2 remaining x
What was the reason behind them not putting two back? I am thinking if this one hasn’t worked I will see if I can gamble on two as the rest of mine are lower grade than the two I have had transferred so far. Then if that doesn’t work I might go private and do another egg collection because my partners sperm should have improved by now so I am thinking we might be able to get more through to day 5 and of better quality.
I had 12 retrieved a 5 made it to day 5 blasts. They initially agreed to 2 but I got a new lead consultant just before this fet. And he took my decision to medical panel and it was a majority vote against the plan. Due to my natural risk of twins (so potentially triplets or quads) and preterm births. I was surprised my original consultant agreed (eventually) but can see why many wouldn’t.
Iv always had high risk pregnancies all natural. 9 miscarriages in total. Iv had twins in different locations. One early miscarriage 1 (twin 2) ruptured ectopic that was missed (almost 17weeks) Resulting in severe internal bleeding. And tube removal. Followed by a still birth at 30 weeks and then my daughter born after that, who’s twin I lost early on too. Following her Iv been pregnant again twice in the last 7 years (mc 8&9) with neither getting past 6 weeks. All the above were natural but turned to ivf last year after tests due to male factor. And now low amh with time running out and the age gap increasing.
It’s been a very traumatic journey. Almost dying during my rupture & then then with my daughter as I got sepsis just before my induction resulting in an emergency section. Despite all that I’m very much glass half full. I always dreamed of twin girls and got my wish, just not the way I hoped. I’m now trying to give her the sibling she so desperately wants but as much as we want it also. I’m resided to the fact that if it’s not meant to be I will be forever grateful for my rainbow princess 🌈💖
And after turning to ivf last year after all my previous natural conceptions I’m determined not to let this journey impact me too much negatively.
Iv buried 2 children already. And lost many more and I’m still standing & keeping the faith whilst staying positive xx

I did something daft earlier and did a clear blue early detection pregnancy test 😬😬😬😬😬. It was negative. I now have no idea if that’s a true or a false negative but it’s not changed anything for me. I’ve felt nauseous this afternoon and still feel rough now but I am guessing if hcg was high enough to make me sick it would have picked it up on the test too. Any thoughts other than “you’re an idiot”? 😂

But you’re definitely not an idiot. You’ve only done what the majority of us have at some time. How many dpt are you today? Your official test date is the 12th isn’t it. But I remember you were planning on testing Thursday with me. If that’s your OTD then it was given for a reason. Plenty her negative early on and go on to have BFP closer to or on OTD.
I personally have always used clear blue but have tested well after a missed period. But since starting this journey Iv heard none stop stories about them not being reliable. Fingers crossed it changes. As it really is too early.

My transfer was on the 27th so it’s been 7 days. I didn’t use the first wee of the day even but I was bored and thought “you never know!!”. I feel okay about it genuinely, I don’t feel as optimistic about the outcome but I know it might change. I always test “too early” it’s like a disease and even when I was told “you must wait the full two weeks” I was nodding along thinking “you don’t know me at all, there’s zero chance I’m going to listen” 😬😬
That was me each time previously. So I was determined not to this time just to test myself. So we transferred the same day (trying to remember dates for everyone) but my official test date is 7th and yours the 12th. My clinic obviously test on the earlier side. But clearly have their reasons. I would say hold off tomorrow and retest Thursday like you were originally planning. A lot can change in over 24 hours.

I felt nauseous this pm and don’t feel 100% now either. Nothing else that’s relevant. TMI but I had the worst pain this afternoon in my back passage from the cyclogest. I’ve used Anusol though and it’s worked like a charm already!! This is after saying I had no symptoms whatsoever and then my butt hole really spoke to me 😂. How are your symptoms today?

I was worried it was the start of AF briefly although not due until Friday and genuinely like clockwork. Even returning to normal following previous FET’s. So who knows what’s going on. Either way I’ll soon get my answer x

I had a weep and a wail yesterday morning and then snapped out of it as I realised that I had a sales call. Think I got the client 😂. I tested this morning BFN again as I anticipated. I feel okay today as I tend to have a moment and then bounce back. I will test off and on until OTD but I have my answer. I think we will look to going private now as I don’t think I can hack twice yearly transfers, I want volume so each transfer means less. I am wondering if I need more investigations at my end. I still have a ton of hope for the future and feel positive today (ironically). How are you doing? Have you tested? 🤞🏻
Morning, sometimes a little weep is needed as I often think bottling things up can be worse. Glad you seen quite positive though and have work to distract you. Well doneon getting the sale too. Have you had many prior investigations? We went straight to private as we already had one child and so didn’t qualify for NHS funding.
I like to throw myself straight into another cycle or transfer when unsuccessful so I can see your frustration if only having 2 transfers a year. What’s the eligibility in your area regarding number of free cycles?
Iv not tested yet just driving there now. Hubby has taken the day off to come for blood test with me as I’d usually go alone. I’m feeling okay either way. Symptoms all but disappeared last night but woke up with sore boobs and dull achy abdomen again. So could literally go either way at this point.
Either way I too am hopeful for the future. Ideally BFP today. But if not we both keep ploughing on until we get the success we deserve xx

I haven’t had many investigations really, I haven’t had my tubes checked for example, they suspect I could have adenomyosis but no one seems to hold the same view on this. My partner has horrendous sperm but some are healthy and fast swimming etc. we went straight to ICSI because of this. If I remember correctly you have to wait 6 weeks before you can have even a conversation with a doctor post failure. I am going to look into buying an unlimited ivf package which you have to start before you are 38. In the meantime I might speak with the private clinic that does my transfer. A consultation is £250 I think. I want to know what they think at their end about what we should do next. I have 4 blasts left all of lower quality than the two we have used. One of them is below average I think and the other 3 are solid but not the level we’ve tried already. I think I might either go for an egg collection asap to get more in the bank or see if I can transfer 2 next cycle. I am leaning towards collecting more eggs because my partner had a varicocele operation, we need to get him tested again but maybe we can get some better blasts. I thought it was a bit odd that I had so many fertilise and get to day three and then I lost the majority of them day 3-5. Then I read someone say if they die day 3-5 it’s more likely the sperm. Not sure if that is true. Are there any checks you had that you found helpful??
So much of the symptoms are caused by drugs and so it is completely OK not to have any symptoms! Fingers crossed you have the double positive - feeling fine and two lines!

'Statistically unlikely' - never a truer word said 🤣 It doesn't stop us all championing for everyone else though. Hopefully we all get there eventually. I've slightly had enough after 5 transfers but I also know I'm a long way from bowing out gracefully.

And you’re right about tmi. I think on here there’s a no hold bars rule and all dignity kind of goes out of the window at times. Friday will be here soon enough and I’m just getting through today and tomorrow like you said then it’s test day. I just hope they don’t keep me waiting. On my last cycle I was chasing them up at 4 for results and ended up having to wait until the following day which I hadn’t factored in. I sometimes have loose bowels around my period too so I wasn’t excited too much by that. But like you I firmly believe we’re not out yet and am hoping and praying with everything crossed it’s not over xx

However my levels were lower than expected so I now have to have my bloods tested again in 48 hours to check everything is progressing as it should. I am obviously happy, but at the same time don’t feel I can enjoy the moment with all the uncertainty. Hoping and praying this little one is a fighter and was just late to implant. I was actually thinking of you and wondering how you got on yesterday while I was trying to decide whether to get up and go for it, logged on and saw your BFP, so thought I'd test first hoping to be able to say "me too!". But alas, the statistics say that is quite unlikely. I'm OK at the moment though. It will hit me over the next couple of days as the drugs come out of my system, but I know what to expect and am prepared for it. I'm hoping to go in for our next FET as soon as possible. My clinic have suggested I can try a natural cycle next time so I'll speak to them about that and make a decision. I'm hoping they will fit us in during my April cycle whatever we choose x
So sorry it wasn’t the outcome you had hoped for. But sounds like you’re well ahead with the next steps. And that success is just around the corner for you. Life would be wonderful if all these unfortunate struggles could be stripped away and statics were success for anyone who simply wished it.
I’ll be following your journey from here though and I’m certain I’ll be congratulating you in the very near future. Be kind to yourself these next few days. Every cycle is gruelling and really takes its toll both mentally and physically. I did so well holding off until OTD but unfortunately the wait isn’t over. Huge congratulations to you. I bet you are on cloud 9. So happy to hear you got your BFP. I also got mine just before the clinic closed after waiting all day. However I’m currently being reserved as I need to repeat my BetaHCG on Saturday which will be 48 hours later as the number wasn’t quite enough to not require a retest.
So currently in limbo but hoping and praying my little one is a fighter like my other daughter was against all adversity. 🙏🏽❤️🤞🏽🍀✨

Hi Everyone, hope your all doing well.
Just a quick update!!!
I’m pleased to say my first retest has doubled. I’ll be retesting again on Monday now and every 48 hour’s until the consultant is happy with the progression. But thankfully everything is moving in the right direction. I’m currently 4+2 today and have been offered an early scan for peace of mind at 5+5. Although it’s not common practice as that’s generally too early to see everything. But it’s more for reassurance that the pregnancy is in the right place.
Everything crossed that this little one is comfortable and where they are meant to be.

Really it was such a relief but we’ll have a better picture at the end of today. So patiently waiting yet again. Otherwise all is okay. Just a lot of nausea today but sure it will pass. How are you doing? xx

I'm ok I had a day where I spotted but for about 10 minutes but was more like implantation spotting? So I had a bit of a breakdown but just trying to think positive.

That’s fairly common so hopefully it’s nothing more. Just try to take it as a positive, particularly as it was following your BFP. When do you next have and kind of follow up appointment or scan now?
Just had my second results as I was literally typing this reply, they’ve doubled again. First time this whole journey Iv actually burst into tears xx

Just an update for anyone still checking this. But after 2 weeks of uncertainty…
Low rising HCG, spotting, bleeds, intense pain, cramping and a stint in A&E.
Fetal pole and heartbeat finally detected at 6+5. We are overwhelmed but over the moon. Hoping & praying that everything continues to progress as it should and the bleeding hopefully comes to a halt. Looking forward to finally being able to tell my daughter that she is being promoted to big sister.
