TTC & Skipping periods

Hi! I’m skipping periods every other month.

My menstrual cycle is usually like clockwork but I didn’t get my period in July and thought I was pregnant. I took multiple tests and received a negative result every time. I thought back and realised I had not had any ovulation symptoms that month. I usually get very sore breasts and some light cramping on whichever side I’m ovulating from. I thought it was a one off.

August came along and I felt my usual ovulation symptoms then my period started right when it was due. I only had 2 days of light bleeding then spotting for a day or so after.

Now, in September, I’ve had no ovulation symptoms and no period although I was due at the start of the month. (Currently 10 days late) I tested last week and it was negative.

I don’t know what’s going on but my husband and I are TTC and I’m not sure of what to do.

Think best idea would be to see your GP and explain the situation - TTC and periods irregular Then Dr can start the ball rolling to see what is causing the problem Meantime take a look at our website for information on all aspects of fertility fertilitynetworkuk.org

Take care

I agree with Janet, see your GP, they should start by running a panel of hormone tests I think xx
