How long between stopping norethisterone and starting stimulation drugs?

Hi all,

I was meant to be taking norethisterone for 14 days, taking a 5 day break and then starting stimulation meds on Saturday.

I got carried away with the relentless 💊 pill popping and have taken an extra 2 pills (should have taken my last at 8pm last night, but it was 2pm instead today).

I'm expecting my period to come in the next day or so anyway.

My question is - is there some reason why a 5 day break is needed (e.g. lowered progesterone, LH levels etc., which norethisterone might affect)?

I will ask my clinic, but wondering if they might say I should start stims a day later...

How long have you had between stopping norethisterone and starting stimulation???? Any experiences appreciated.

Thanks Diane, if my period comes in time for me to start stimulation on Saturday then that sounds like it would be ok then, assuming a break of 4 days from stopping norethisterone is ok rather than a full 5. I think some people start a fresh cycle with less than a 5 day break of stopping norethisterone?
