Covid vaccine?

I’m preparing for our next frozen embryo transfer, should start drug protocol next month. It just dawned on me today that I should check if I need any Covid boosters? Anyone know the current advice on this? I had my first covid jab April 2021, 2nd in June 2021 & not had any since. Am I due a booster & is there guidance on time frame to have this before having an embryo transfer? I’m expecting an early May transfer 🤞🏻 Thanks Xx

Hi Jengi

Yes you would have been due a third some time ago, however NHS England stopped routinely offering vaccines on 12th February to healthy under-50s (according to bbc news). I would get in touch with them anyway and see what they can do for you, totally understandable to have missed it given what you’ve been going through. I’ve had 4 vaccines and just had my second delightful bout of covid 🙈

My clinic wanted 8 weeks between vaccination and embryo transfer.

Good luck for your FET! 🍀
