First time FET

Hello ladies, I have my FET process due to start tomorrow. I will revive my first injection to stop my normal cycle then I’ll go back again on the 22nd for a scan and another injection before medication.

I’ve never been through FET before and wondered how the process is. Is it simple or is it worse than a fresh transfer? Please help. I’m a little anxious about it and what I should be doing to prepare my body xxx

Hi . To prep your body for any IVF treatment or FET , they do suggest to start taking your folic acid and vitamin D supplements 3 months prior. I would just take a multivitamins daily from now. Good luck

I had two fresh transfers that ended in early losses/chemicals and then a FET, that was successful. For me, the FET was so much gentler and straightforward. Plus I understood what the meds were for, how I was likely to react and it felt more natural. I also felt more recovered than after the emotional and physical stress of a collection. I didn't do much to prepare really as I figured I wasn't trying to improve egg quality etc, and the embryo is made, but I did carry on a lot of what I'd done for fresh like having lots of good fats and vits, plus progesterone seemed to have been an issue on my fresh transfers so I was prescribed masses of that on the FET. Best of luck!

I’m so pleased to hear it worked for you! I’m just sorry you had to go through what you did first. I felt that collection was so stressful and emotional so fingers crossed I feel it a lot easier this time round!
