Very low & slow rising hcg

I knew I was right to panic about my urine tests 😩.

HCG results are in:

11dp5dt (PM) - 63

14dp5dt (AM) - 110

My doubling time is 80 hours.

2 day increase is only 50% 🙁

Feel like my fears of another ectopic are going to happen 😭

Hi Angel. I know this must be worrying for you. I used this calculator as well in the past and it really frightened me. However HCG can vary from person to person and doubling rates are not set in stone. Have you spoken to your clinic and if so what is their advice? X

They’ve suggested a possible chemical but I’m not convinced.

To me it seems like another ectopic.

I’m past 5 weeks now so past the cut off date for a chemical.

I had an ovarian ectopic last year so I’m terrified of another one as I know the chances are higher.

I think my levels got higher today as the tests got even darker.

Nowhere will scan me until 6 weeks. The waiting is unbearable.

Hey, mine was very similar to this… my first blood was 35 @10dp5dt, then 53 @12dp, then 94 @14dp but then it started to more than double for the next couple of tests & my doc was happy. I was using the same HCG calculator as you are and it was saying low as well & I was really panicking. Try your best not to stress, although easier said than done.Maybe do a couple more bloods to see if it starts increasing faster like mine did xxx

Oh really? That sounds very hopeful! Was it a viable pregnancy?

My bloods went to 679 on 18dp & my doc was happy from then on to wait for a 6 week scan, which is meant to be on 13th Aug but I’m currently on vacation, so it’s booked for when I’m back on 17th. I’ll find out then if all good 🤞🏼 Will let you know xxx

Thank you & same to you. Will you do more bloods? I’ve seen very mixed posts on here (some positive and some negative) & so I am prepared for the worst despite trying to stay really positive. Seems it’s really 50/50 if you’re going to miscarry before 12 weeks if you start with a low HCG & it’s a bit slow rising at the start. Fingers and toes crossed for us both 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 Xxx

My betas were low and slow rising (numbers in my profile), and my pregnancy was viable. My little boy is 6 months - I’ll cross my fingers and toes for you xx

Amazing, congratulations to you 💓 I’m always so happy to hear these stories, and wonder why people go on about doubling when so many success stories of less than doubling.

So yesterday 18dp5dt we were at 635.I requested a scan but too soon to see anything really.

Back tomorrow for more bloods / scan and hoping for a miracle! I feel extremely pregnant today, but that could happen with ectopic too I suppose
