Donor Egg success *sensitive subject

Hi there,

For those interested, I just wanted to give an update.

I posted many questions on here close to a year ago.

I had a lot of support which I am so appreciative of, however, rightly so, there was also some caring warnings about my expectations using an older egg donor.

But I just wanted to update those of you who still need hope, that there are success stories.

I gave birth to my beautiful little girl 5 weeks ago. She is perfect.

My egg donor was 39 (a good friend of mine). I was warned against using her by even one of my specialists as her chances of having good quality eggs was very low.

But given my lack of options and her willingness we proceeded.

She got 14 eggs from 1 cycle.

After 5 days we had 3 embryos. 1 normal and 2 mosaic.

That one little normal one took, and is now my little miracle!

So for those of you out there needing a little hope, here it is.

No not everyone is lucky, but there is nothing to say that you won’t be one of the lucky ones.
