Poor follicles response to stims (IVF)

I am on day 10 of stim. I had a scan yesterday ( day 9) and only two of my follicles have responded but not well around 6mm both. I had 12 on my baseline scan

Doctor and nurse said to carry on with the same dose ( menopur 300ui) and then scan on Tuesday ( day 13) to see if we go ahead or cancel this cycle.

I’m desperate, worried and very disappointed.

Do I still have chances? Also do you know what should be the size on day 9?

I am sorry to learn things are not going as you'd hoped. I have had poor follicle development in IVF in the past and sometimes clinics add things in, sometimes they keep you on the same drugs and hope that things will improve.

Of course there is also a chance and they obviously think it is too early to say which is why they have kept you going. If the cycle is cancelled it will be disappointing but it may give you a better chance for them to try something else. For now try and take each day at a time xx

Hi Nourtifa I am in a similar position this month to what you were last month. Also on a 300 IU dose menopur and with only a few small follicles plus very low oestrogen. How did you get on?
