Do you have a successful experience or knowledge with low grade embryos. What is a low grade? I had x2 transfered yesterday both 4BC. Want to learn from others experience.

Hi Lou12208,I was given the option of transferring two embryos back in April, as they were developing slowing. My embryos were not graded but I was told only one was showing early signs of blastocyst at day 5.

Embryology is not an exact science, as I am now 21 weeks pregnant with twins.

I hope that this helps.

Wishing you the best of luck and sending loads of baby dust your way. Xx

I am a bit the opposite! 3 beautiful fully expanded AA embryos produced from my first cycle of IVF. First fresh transfer was a Chemical and the last two were BFN. They may have looked like top grade embryos but they were clearly chromosomally abnormal...particularly since after they failed I fell pregnant naturally! Which means that a good egg and sperm met and then the DNA inside split correctly and normally 🥰 Who knows what that embryo looked like?! 🤷‍♀️ Probably a wonky donkey one but it worked!

Please don't be discouraged or overly influenced by embryo grading. It's a beauty contest that is very subjective and doesn't assess the essential and important stuff - the split of the DNA inside the embryo. And grading can vary from clinic to clinic.

Enjoy the hope of the 2ww and good luck!!!! Hopefully your bfp is just around the corner for you! 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

Hi lou. Clinics have their own grading systems, so best to speak with your embryologist. However, if they are of different letters e.g. BC, AB, it's usually that they ar a little slower to divide, and often catch up when transferred. Lots of successful uneven letters are successful. Good luck! Diane

Hi

I have had the some worry but the consultant said not to get hung up about the grading so that is what I try to do, but easier said than done! Wishing you luck x

I don't put a lot of emphasis on embryo grades anymore after my fresh transfer of a day 5 4AB embryo was a BFN but my fresh transfer of a day 3 'average' embryo (that's all they would grade it at that point) was a BFP. 32 weeks now. If it is good enough to transfer then the clinic thinks it could result in a pregnancy. Sending you lots of luck xx

Hello! Just wanted to say that I had a fresh double transfer of morula embryos (stage prior to blast), didn’t have much hope especially as I began bleeding heavily last week but I’ve since had a BFP on 7 pregnancy tests. Try not to get too hung up on the grading. Lots of people fall pregnant with day 3 transfers or morula embryos where you don’t get given any grading so just try to relax 🙂. Wishing you all the best for your 2WW!
