Hi all, I'm doing a usual stressy overthink and doing my poor husband's head in!
I'm 37, 38 in December. I've really low amh ( 2.8 over a year ago) always had stupid light periods ( prob due to thin lining) anyway the last few months they've alternated from about 24 ish days to usual 28. They've also got lighter. I mentioned it to the nurse before we had our ivf and she mentioned poss due to my crap ovarian reserve.
Our first icsi attempt failed recently ( I started to bleed on 8dp5dt) I had a period 32 days after that and now I'm bleeding again 20 days after that one?! They have been alot more painful than they used to be (never used to get any sort of period pain) theres a Painful dull ache / stabbing pain high on the right side of my tummy on and off.
I'm really worried that this is all pointing to signs I'm going through possible perimenopause soon?! I'm terrified really that time has ran out. Am I being silly or realistic?
Sorry for waffle and downbeatness..period hormones aren't helping
Wishing you all babydust 😘 xxx

I’m so sorry for your loss. My periods have also gone a bit awol since going through ivf, mine have always been 30-34 days but i’ve had much shorter ones and also crazy long ones after my various failed cycles, depending on what meds i’ve been on. Also have noticeable ovulation pain these days which I never had before ivf! The hormones do send your body crazy but it’s definitely worth flagging your concern to your clinic or your gp, it can’t hurt to have hormone levels checked or a scan if your doctor thinks it’s worth checking out. Only you know if your body feels out of wack and it’s always something to get checked over, particularly if your planning on putting yourself through more treatment. Good luck!
