Hi Everyone

It’s been a while since I posted here...since my IVF didn’t work in January. Well I’m back and ready to start thinking about it all again now.

My body still feels all over the place since treatment so I am trying to give myself a break before I go again but I wanted to ask if anyone has done anything in preparation such as Reiki or acupuncture? I want to give myself the best possible chance and need advice so any suggestions are welcome.

I was wondering how you got on. So sorry to hear you weren't successful. I wasn't either so hoping to try again in the not too distant future.

I can't comment in alternative therapies but I've been doing yoga which is helping me relax so hoping this will be invaluable in cycle number two.

I’m doing ok...I didn’t post after my last as I was really quite down in the dumps and then felt like I should give myself a break from posting about it etc but I’m back on the train now and ready to start looking at everything to better my chances. I’m feeling more positive now and we have bought a new house which keeps me busy too so alls good.

How do you feel? When are you thinking you might go again? It will be a full cycle again for us as we had no Frosties to use up so geeing up to go again xx

Congrats on the new house! That's very exciting!

I'm due to call the clinic to book in when I start my next period.. .which is due this week so hoping to kick off the burserelin in July! We will be doing a fresh cycle too as we didn't get anything for the freezer either. Trying icsi this time which will hopefully up our fertilisation rate and I've been taking ubiquinol and generally trying to be healthier. Fingers crossed it all helps! How about you?

Wishing you lots of luck, hopefully itll be second time lucky for both of us 😊. I'm actually feeling quite excited. Just hope the clinic haven't got gilly booked since I last spoke to them x

Ahh I’m excited for you! You could be posting good news so soon! Keeping everything crossed for you!

Well, I think towards the end of the summer for us just to give us time to save some cash and for me to chill a little and I guess also to get my body right. I’m tempted to go again now but trying this whole new me which is being more relaxed (she says 🙈🙈)

Makes sense to take your time and do it when it's right. Especially when it's so bloomin expensive!

It's quite good timing for me right now with working at home. Means I can sneak most of it under the radar. I found all the appointments really stressful last time. I've also provisionally booked off the two weeks after transfer so I can be as stress free as poss. Hopefully it helps.

Hopefully we will both have some exciting news to share soon. Take care xx

Yea it is stressful with juggling the appointments and then if you aren’t telling people why you are away making excuses up etc so now is the perfect time for you! I’m so excited for you now! Xx

Hey, congrats! I love reiki and accupuncture 😊 I’m actually qualified in reiki, and find it so relaxing if nothing else. Accupuncture I’ve had before my last transfer and I did fall pregnant but unfortunately it was a miscarriage at 7 weeks. I’ve continued to have it this time too and feel it’s really helped xx

Hi lovely, I tried acupuncture for my last round and I decided against it this time. I’m needle phobic so I found it stressful during the needles going in, although it was really relaxing after. I don’t know if that contributed to our round not working but I think increased adrenaline which isn’t great. So this time I’m doing healthy eating, exercise 4 - 5 times a week, yoga every morning and lots of relaxing in between! Good luck with whatever you try xx
