I have Severely diminished ovarian reserve (DOR) and I am desperate to be able to do IVF again.
I came across an article of the British Fertility Society. They are currently reviewing members‘ proposals on next steps.
I emailed my clinic and asked them to email the BFS to request that treatment can resume for women with DOR. For us time is running out and it’s about fertility preservation just like for cancer patients.
Cancer patients can still do IVF, so we should also be considered.

If many clinics put this forward, maybe we can hope to be treated before we run out of eggs. Please consider asking your clinic too. Xx

Did your clinic say that they would put this forward to the BFS? I have DOR too and am so so anxious and worried about how quickly my levels are dropping and how every month decreases my chances further. I am not even concerned about transferring at this stage, I just wish they could do egg collections. The clinics are open e.g for pregnancy scans so I don’t understand why they can’t do egg collections for urgent cases. I will ask my clinic if they can write to the BFS as well.
Ask the clinic director. That’s what I am doing. I think mine will. By only asking egg collection not transfer that should increase our chances of it being accepted. Xx
Good luck, Lily. Sounds like a strong case. I have DOR but have now given up on OE. I really hope you get your chance to go again. It's a hard situation on top of something that feels so unfair. All the best, strength n compassion!! Xx
