When to be concerned?

Hello all,

I initially came on here when I was around 23 and TTC (I'm 31 now). Me and my partner sought help after TTC for 1 year without success.

Turns out, I had PCOS but ovulated naturally and cycles were regular, not overweight and no physical symptoms of the syndrome, and partners sperm analysis came back poor (2 out of 3 samples not up to standard) so we was recommended ICSI. We had 1 round and 2 x embryo transfers (a total of 3 embryos used) and they all failed. We actually conceived naturally soon after. My daughter is now 4.5 years old and I feel very lucky to have her.

However, I am now with a new partner, and we have been TTC for 1 year without success. My partner has gone onto have 2 further children with a new partner and very quickly too, yet nothings happened for me. This slightly worries me as I had everything tested and there were no real issues. No issues with AMH level, no blockages and hormones fine. One could say that, it was just one of those things.

However, now I am with an entirely new partner who has a daughter from a previous relationship I am wondering whether its coincidence or whether its me. At the same time, I see on the NHS website now that it can take up to 2 years for healthy couples to conceive. I also know of people who have naturally just taken a while. I have been thinking of having acupuncture/reflexology to see if this "wakes me up". Has anyone ever experienced anything similar? I know we wont qualify for any help. I would be grateful for your comments.

Hi Crystal,

I haven’t had the same experiences as you have but in terms of acupuncture I had that with my 2 fresh ivf transfers in 2017 and I felt like it really helped. It is expensive so it might be worth trying a session with both acupuncture and reflexology and see either a- which you prefer & b- if you feel like it will be beneficial as I defo think it’s down to personal preference too.

Hope you get some replies from people with similar experience too xx
