Recommended a gluten free diet

Hello fellow IVF warriors 💪

Hope you’re okay. I’m so pleased it’s the weekend!

I went to try my first session of acupuncture last night and the therapist looked at other aspects of my life as she likes to treat patients holistically.

She recommended I go gluten free as there is some evidence gluten has been linked to infertility as it can cause inflammation in the body.

Has anyone else been told this and started a gluten free diet? I don’t mind giving it a go but conscious it’s another thing to have to think about and plan for!

Thanks in advance and wishing you all a lovely weekend. xxx 🌈🍀❤️🤞💪

Hi Kat, yes my acupuncturist said to go gluten and dairy free as I have PCOS and the sugars can have an impact. I dont follow it religiously but it does help. I try and follow a low GI diet which is basically a Mediterranean diet with as little bread as poss (and go for brown over white). Dont be too strict on yourself though or it'll be hard to sustain. Best of luck xx

Hi, I have not been told any specific diet by my acupuncture clinic.

My fertility clinic consultant have only asked me to start low carb and high protein diet.

Hope this helps.
