As I sit here (impatiently) waiting for the call from my hospital today to tell me how many (if any) of my eggs made it to blastocyst stage, I'm curious to know what your stats were from your IVF rounds:
1. How many eggs were collected?
2. How many fertilised (standard IVF or ICSI)?
3. How many made it to blastocyst?
I had 17 eggs collected last Friday and 15 fertilised via standard IVF. I have no clue what to expect and I'm extremely nervous! Would be good to hear from you ladies.
Remember it only takes one to make a baby, and people have success with day 3 transfers as well as blastocysts. I've seen people write that their poorest embryo was also their successful one. So try not to worry too much 😘
I had 14 eggs, 13 mature, 7 fertilised with icsi, 2 weren't good enough overnight, which left me with 5. I was worried that wasn't a lot and they wouldn't make it to day 5. But all 5 made it. 1 put back in, 4 in the freezer and I'm just over 11 weeks pregnant. Good luck hun xx
Cryst4l those are some amazing numbers!!! Almost no one has 100% fertilisation and also 100% making it to blastocyst. Congratulations! Wonderful news you’re pregnant. Do you mind me asking how old you are?
Aw thanks Pearlyduck. I was told the same thing by my fertility dr. I was so shocked too. I have severe endo stage 4 too so it was a shock to us all to get the results we did. Dr had to double check that my notes didnt get mixed up lol. I am now 38 but was 37 when I had my egg collection. Still got 11 blasts in the freezer.🤗 miracles do happen to anyone. Xx
I had ICSI - only two eggs collected but both fertilised and made it to day 5 blastocysts. Remember It only takes one - I have everything crossed for you x🤞
Thanks ladies for your replies, really interesting stats there. I just got the call back from the hospital - 7 made it to blastocyst and will be frozen! I'm doing a freeze-all cycle xx

That's brilliant- well done. Good luck for your FET xx
11 mature eggs, 9 fertilised, 7 made it to day 3 and 4 to blastocyst (1 of which was a day 6). 1 fresh transferred and 3 frozen. I’ve now used all the blastos too so I’ll finish the journey:
Fresh transfer - BFP (my little boy is now 2)
FET 1 - chemical pregnancy (BFP 9dp5dt, BFN 11dp5dt)
FET 2 - BFN
FET 3 (day 6 embie) - BFP (I hope - currently 5+4 and waiting for viability scan)
