I'm 5 weeks 2 days pregnant with my miracle ivf baby.
My fiance caught covid at the beginning of last week and has been staying away from me for 7 days now. I've periods being so stressed it's made me shake, feel emotional and angry (I'm guessing hormones are at play here!) . I'm so worried about my little bean and how this may affect their development. I don't have my viability scan until the 25th but it's just such a worry that from my crying and worrying I've hurt our chances of carrying to term. Has anyone else felt like this when pregnant?

I have felt like you many times and I think it’s normal to feel a lot of strong emotions all at once after a BFP and even more so after an IVF BFP. Luckily I don’t think this has a negative impact. Sending you love and happy vibes ❤️
thank you for your reply, ive been in a bit of a spiral of anxiety today! Im feeling a lot better now other than these cramps im getting on and off which i think are normal!? Xx
oh! I am so sorry to hear this stress. So difficult that you have to be staying away when you should be together celebrating!! I can say I have been stressed - with work but also my hubby went away last weekend and then came back with a cold I panicked the whole time it was covid - made him test at 1:30 am one night! It was just a cold but I now have it and am stressed about that as temperature has been at 37 since I was pregnant and so now is about 37.2 - Googling if I should reduce it also added stress.
Anyway I have also googled stress and it would only be really high levels for a really long time.
Finally one piece of advice stressing about being stressed doubles your stress! So although tough try not to! Xxx
oh bless you, try not to worry and just concentrate on getting better. Lots of fluids and remember you can take paracetamol to help lower any temperature you have.
Im trying to just relax into things a bit more, i was really working myself into a state today. I think ive also been dealing with quite a bit of cramping, not painful but almost like im getting my period which of course is impossible as im 5 weeks. I havent had any bleeding or spotting so im hoping its normal and just the little one settling in
ah thats good you can manage it without tablets. These cramps are so weird, literally like period pains. Sometimes in the middle and then mostly on my left side but does go to the right. So bizarre. Im guessing its normal as its not painful and im not bleeding. Xx
On OTD day I found out I had subacute thyroiditis. Long story short, I was admitted to A&E with fever at 38.5 and heart rate at over 140. I was so so scared, but despite this, all was well at the scans at 6+6, 8+6 and 10+1. I am still scared everyday, but try to think positively. I also think some cramping is absolutely normal. ❤️
Hi Runninglady I caught covid when I was 6 six weeks pregnant it took two weeks for me to get a negative test and was around 4 weeks till I actually felt like I was over it. I had the awful cough and pulled muscles in my stomach from coughing. Never felt so ill in my life. Was soo worried and stressed it would affect pregnancy. But now I'm nearly 17 weeks had a recent scan and baby is perfect. So don't be hard on yourself I think everyone who has experienced fertility issues feels the same at some point. Try and find something to keep your mind busy. X
