Did you take a blood test for LFT indicators before the fibroscan? High ALT levels can lead to falsely high fibroscan liver stiffness readings. The second indicator separately indicates the degree of fatty hepatosis (liver steatosis). To correctly interpret these indicators, you better contact your doctor, since only he has all the data from your examinations and will be able to take into account all the nuances for correct interpretation.

Therefore, it is impossible to say exactly how inflamed your liver was at the time of the fibroscan. What does your ultrasound show?

Hepatic steatosis can cause false-positive results on fibroscans, that is, an assessment of liver stiffness that does not correspond to the actual level of fibrosis. This may be due to changes in the structure of the liver due to fat accumulation. Therefore, it is important to take this factor into account when interpreting the results of fibroscan and conducting additional examinations if necessary.

"Graves' disease, one of the most common causes of hyperthyroidism, can affect various organs, including the liver. Hyperthyroidism can lead to metabolic disorders, which in turn can affect liver function. In some cases, thyroid disorders may be associated with the development of fatty liver disease, which can lead to fibrosis.

However, the direct link between Graves' disease and liver fibrosis is not clear-cut and requires further research(...)

If liver fibrosis is suspected in a patient with Graves' disease, it is important to conduct comprehensive diagnostics to determine the cause and appropriate treatment.

If you have test results or detailed questions about your own health condition, I recommend consulting with an endocrinologist or hepatologist."

PeppyPo last month I too did a fibroscan that scored 18kpa ....my Gastro wanted to make assumptioms as opposed to , doing a process of elimination for example, I reffered myself to a Hepatologist ...they asked me to do Liver function Lab tests- came back normal further I did an ultrasound that Liver had no lesions etc, so it became inconclusive for cirrohsis so, then I was asked to do MRI/MRE which scored 4.2kpa .... With normal blood work it becomes inconxluvise once again so now I will be doing biopsy to really understand what is causing elevatef Liver stiffness score

So I say all that to say this , ask your Dr about Labs , MRE etc to seek accuracy

good luck!!! I will be here ro speak anytime
