I had a liver biopsy, my score is F3 S2 (NASH) I was told I don’t have cirrhosis yet. However, I have been getting spider veins on my legs and feel pain on my veins on the back of my legs up to my thighs. They are not bulging and the pain lasts for a couple of days and then it’s gone. I have been told that, this not not caused by the liver disease . I had low Alkaline Phosphatase and I was told that I don’t have portal hypertension but, that I do have portal inflammation. Is that the beginning of portal hypertension? Has anyone started with the portal inflammation then it turned to the hypertension?
Since my initial diagnosis of F-4 cirrhosis (Liver Elastography) have followed the liver friendly diet- that I got from this forum , plus intermittent fasting 16:8 and exercise 30 minutes most days. I am down over 30 lbs, no longer have sleep apnea, Acid reflux, my AIC is down to 5.3 from 6.2 my blood pressure is almost normal but not above 139/80 . I’m doing everything I can to slow it down and hopefully get back to normal. I don’t think that I’ve reduce the fatty liver with the diet but I believe the score was high due to my weight.
Any thoughts? Is this normal? I sometimes think that I’m overthink everything and causing myself to stress when I should be concentrating on healing.
