Can good fats be part of my high fat 67%? I have been on a Mediterranean diet for the last few years. F2 mild-mod. scarring/fibrosis. TX!

Hi Red

We would recommend that "good" defined as unsaturated fats should be most of your fat intake. The calories are the same but all saturated fats are inflammatory to varying degrees so unsaturated in easier on your liver cells.

Thanks! I only use cold press virgin olive oil. I will see what else I might be eating that has the bad fats. Meat; only chicken or cold-water fish prepared broiled, baked, or grilled. Salad dressing olive oil and red vinegar. I have more to learn about healthy foods for a healthy liver. I tried to find a registered dietitian with no results. Seems they are focused on dietetics. Thank goodness for this group for I am learning so much to save my life. Blessings!
