I have slightly elevated liver enzymes for 3 months. I’m on diet, I’m taking no drugs and no alcohol but the enzymes are still elevated. I undertook sono (ultrasound) and the doctor said that liver is ok, no damage. I wonder why the enzymes are still higher and how long it may take to bring them down again.

For many people with NAFLD, particularly in the early stages liver enzymes are normal. I got to stage 4 before I had my first abnormal blood test so it just depends on exactly what is going on in the liver and the varies a lot between patients.
